Umpqua Bank Nw Lovejoy St, Portland

Had a really pleasant experience on the phone today with one of the employees. I had ordered a new debit card a month ago it turned out it never got shipped, so the person helping me went out of their way to make sure my new card was going to get expedited to me asap. He was a huge help and it was a huge relief talking to someone that truly cares about the customer. This location has great people!

This is the ULTIMATE bank!! I use three banks in the area. One makes you speak through 4 inches of bullet proof glass. The other one replaced all their people with a machine. But Umpqua bank is still offering personal service with a smile. They go out of their way to help you with whatever they can. Special shoutout to Rebecca for being a rockstar on the phone today.

In the process of buying a property in Portland, but live in Ashland most of the year so don't really get face time with Umpqua in Portland. Needed a signed letter with proof of funds from my bank in an urgent bid on a condo we loved....raced into the Pearl branch on a Saturday morning to find Nick Hess, the bank manager, who stood at a terminal, drafted and signed a formal proof of funds letter for me ON THE SPOT. He also printed out a few checks for me since I didn't have any handy for earnest money (this is how real estate in PDX works these days, you snooze, you loose). What Mr. Hess DIDN'T know is that we are also currently liquidating a 7 figure portfolio with UBS and will likely be using Umpqua private bank as a result of his exemplary service, which allowed my wife and I to put in an offer on the condo before leaving Portland by our hotel check out time. Well done on really delivering where most banks only advertise about delivering. Oh, and you also had fresh coffee.

Best bank. Best crew. Been banking here for over 15 years and they have always been on the top of things.

This used to be a good branch, but it has severely gone down hill. I’ve had a merchant account here for 6 years and now dread my weekly visit. Do yourself a favor and go to OnPoint instead.

ATM is almost always "OUT OF SERVICE"

For over 6 years, excellent service. This is not a perfect institution, but there are none. The excellence is grounded in honesty and integrity if there is a problem, they will solve it. Very Satisfied

Absolutely awful customer service. All I was trying to do was cash a check and the teller was SOOOO condescending. I just don't understand how people like this keep getting hired in customer service jobs!
