Frustrating experience. I went in to close one of my accounts (not all). I am not sure who I worked with, he never introduced himself to me. My wife manages her accounts at U.S. and I had one account that I never used. I wanted to close only the inactive accounts in my name alone. I asked the representative to confirm that the accounts he was going to close were ones that had no activity and stated I did not want my wife's accounts closed. After waiting through "Tech" issues, he was not able to print a check, for quite a while, I realized after the transaction that he had closed not just my account but also my wife's accounts. Fortunately the situation was able to be resolved but left me a very negative impression of U.S. bank and this individual in particular. The impression left with me was a great sense of simply not caring. He left his ear bud in for half of our encounter, never introduced himself to me, did not communicate that he was closing my wife's account (who was not even there) and then he had me sign for my wife to re-open the accounts....It seemed like what I wanted to accomplish could have been completed easily with out all of the issues had the rep. taken the time to confirm what he was doing. It also does not give me a good feeling that my wife's accounts can be closed and cashed out without her being there and that the accounts could be re-opened allowing me to sign on her behalf?

I went there today and their small waiting area with customers already waiting. There is only two chairs and they are next to each other, so all but one customer stands. It was a long wait. I was there to cash a check drawn on US Bank. The branch manager Doug Scalia said they would not honor the amount of the check, they would charge a "fee". He said he could waive the fee, but he wouldn't. Also he refused to cash the check without entering my address, occupation and even SSN. Furthermore Scalia was rude.

Unwilling to work with people to lower rates on mortgages when people are displaced from work due to covid. You can have great payment history with them, excellent credit, the works, but if youre out of a job thanks to covid, they flip you the bird and treat you like youre nothing to them. If youre looking to get a home loan somewhere, look elsewhere.

Don’t use the ATM’s for depositing money! The machine malfunctioned and did not return my cash nor deposit it into my bank account. The machine spit out a receipt with a phone number to call, it’s been over a week and half and still no resolution. It’s been a nightmare to deal with. And I still don’t have that money in my account!
