I am not sure what the name of the person I talked to was, "Pam" I think, but I know she put zero effort into helping me over the phone! Her talking tone was like she was so bothered by her job duties! She just wanted to get over the conversation even though my question only took 10 seconds; she couldn't handle that either!!! This bank lacks basic customer service skills! Please, training and training so your staff can do their job right! You need a team who at least can handle the essential task of being courteous while talking to customers.

Awful bank and company. I’ve been a customer for nearly 20 years, should’ve left long ago but was always too lazy to change all my automatic payments. Recently my wife found a letter I nearly missed that said if I don’t reply in 30 days they’ll close my accounts and give my money away to the state, due to account inactivity. I have monthly direct deposits, monthly transfers and many auto billpays running through the accounts, and yet somehow I’m not an “active customer”. Several us bank reps recommended I use their debit card every month to avoid this happening again (does anyone with an ounce of financial sense use a debit card!?!). This is the last straw for me. After my next mortgage payment processes, I am leaving us bank for good and you should too. I am even more excited to cease my business with them than I was cancelling Comcast. F&@k US Bank.
Hello, I'm sorry for the distress and frustration the letter caused you. At this time, automatic transfers and direct deposits don't count as "activity" because they are automatic. As long as a manual transaction occurs at least once a year, this will keep your account from going into an "inactive" state, or you can return the letter with your signature to acknowledge the account and keep it from going into the inactive status. They had people in two different departments (the banking area and financial planning) that were very competent and who provided some complicated, excellent advice and help. In addition, the tellers have always been friendly, they have safety deposit boxes at better prices than Wells Fargo, and, for the phone critics, they answered the phone.

Wow. I see 4 banks hidden away in cubicles. There are 4 customers in line. No nod "we'll be right with you." 5 minutes waiting so far. Not inspiring to bank here
