    I am a customer of many years and have had many types of accounts with US Bank. I have been very happy with all of the efforts US Bank makes to meet my needs, even in the midst of the Pandemic. Yes, lines are long right now, but they are everywhere. Whether it is our mortgage, investments, a safe deposit box, or checking and savings accounts, we are well cared for by US Bank. The mobile app takes care of most of my banking needs these days, but the Ankeny Branch is there when I need to do an in-person transaction.

    My original review was a complaint that I had to wait 15 minutes at the drive thru, and not a single car moved . . . However, I recently had a need and worked with Kellee Sherrif (? spelling ?), one of the bankers. She was very proficient and competent. I've had to work with a whole bunch of companies that are customer service in nature recently (due to a family matter) and let me tell you, there is a WIDE range of abilities. It was refreshing to work with someone who knew exactly what needed to be done @ US Bank. Therefore, I'm increasing this from 2 stars to 4 thanks to Kellee. :)

    My initial experience with an employee at this bank wasn't pleasant, but do to an misunderstanding and help from Alex I was able to get my issue resolved and he was extremely polite on the phone. He had great problem solving skills to help me with my issue. What had happened is the ATM sucked up my card for some unknown reason, while looking for the card the bank could not find it, well that was due to them looking for the wrong card. After they knew which card it was they were able to find it and return it to me promptly. I recommend this bank and their employees are great!

    The woman working the counter this morning was absolutely rude, condescending, and disrespectful. If you have the option to use a different bank I urge you to do so. I work in customer service and would never talk to a customer the way she spoke to me.

    I have an insurance check that I needed the bank to endorse. I went to a branch in West Des Moines and the teller had no clue what to do. Called US Bank Home Mortgage and and they were awesome...and gave me the steps on what I needed to do. Step 1...call an local branch and speak to the Branch Manager. I tried that first thing this morning and they wouldn't let me speak to the manager. The branch "process" was completely different than what the Home Mortgage told me. Whoever I spoke to on the phone told me anyone can do it and come on in. I did that...waited in line forever for a teller who told me that I needed to have a seat and a banker would help me. This "brand" needs to get their process together...be consistent, and make sure everyone knows what the process exactly is. This is a cluster and a horrible experience.

    Worst banking experience I've ever had. I cashed savings bonds and they miscalculated the amount i got back. They have now removed money twice from my account (only once was i even notified - A DAY LATER) and the 2nd time i was not notified at all. All I got was excuses. I wonder what excuses they will give me if that causes overdrafts. I'm sure they'll be happy to charge me fees for that even though they were to blame for both instances. So, I would like the representative who was "helping" me today know, I do not have to tolerate your excuses. I am more than willing to take my own, my mother in laws, my husbands business elsewhere.
