I opened a brand new checking account yesterday and today I received a papercheck that I planned on cashing and depositing into my new account and the teller tells me that they cannot cash it or deposit unless I wanted to wait on the 9 Day hold on paper check during my first 30 days of banking with you. That’s absolutely and unprofessionally ridiculous to hold your members pay especially when one of the benefits that turned me to you is immediate deposits. That’s a little bit of false advertising, huh? It’s a good thing I haven’t cancelled my Navy Federal account just yet so I can have my money same day

I called Truliant after noting some suspicious charges on my account. The customer service rep who worked with me was... AMAZING. She kept me on hold while she did all the background work to see what the issues were. She was pleasant and incredibly kind for someone whom I am sure spends most of her day troubleshooting and dealing with frustrated people. (I know I was concerned and frustrated when I called in.) I think her name was Donita. Thank you, Donita for your kindness, patience, and getting everything resolved for me today. You are amazing at your job! Truliant is blessed to have you.

There needs to be quicker and efficient way to fraud prevention, nearly every time I use this card; most recently a 3 dollar purchase, they block my card and I’m unable use it. Call/ text right away don’t send a text hours later, and when I respond Y there is still a block

Their customer service is non existent and if you call the call center is even worst. Singled handedly the worst bank who hides behind the name “credit union” in the whole state. There is absolutely no benefit for banking with them, the only thing you are going to accomplish with them is getting so frustrated that you want to rip your hair out. Don’t waste you time just bank somewhere else literally anywhere else.

Lousy customer service. They excel at not picking up the phone, then after asking your name, putting you immediately back on hold and never answering again. I was on the phone for 37 minutes before I gave up. I was calling about an electronic deposit to my business account that they had been holding for four days without depositing it. Not that they ever knew that because she never bothered to ask about why I was calling or even my account number before putting me on hold to never pick up. If you want customer service, you have to go to a branch and speak to someone in-person. Otherwise, forget it.

More than 50% of the time we use ATM machine it doesn't work correctly. Either can't make a cash deposit at all or it won't take all your cash. Many times to make one deposit, it kicks bills back, I redeposit, it takes a few more bills and still kicks some out. I have made 4 and 5 yes before being able to deposit my complete deposit. There have been times when it never did take all the dollar bills. Last month I received a letter saying they will no longer have Safe Deposit Boxes. Had to close it and go to State Employees Credit Union to open a box.

Read the reviews! Stay away. There are so many banking options in Winston. Allegacy is much better. I joined about a year and half ago when I first moved to Winston. They were nice at first. Website has a lot of issues and when you call it will easily take 3-4 minutes just to get through all the menus and then when they pick up they may cut you off. This is just stuff you deal with, minor hassle. Then the pandemic hit! While literally every other financial institution in the whole world, all of them, offered some kind of help or assistance to their customers, Truliant offered nothing. That should be enough for anyone to take their business elsewhere. I was really sick for a long time. I was out of work for months and I’m lucky to be alive. Very lucky. Their in house collections team called my phone NON STOP! 10-15 calls per day. Threatened me. Threatened the iCU nurses who answered the phone. Pulling out now that I’m getting back to work and my feet back under me. Businesses like this only thrive if you let them.

Their services are good. Sadly this was not the branch I was angry upon. It was one of the branches in Concord, Charlotte, NC. Their phone and customer service is good.

Great for banking, bad for lending money. I've banked with Truliant for nearly seven years. They've denied me a credit card despite a consistent part time job, and most recently, a vehicle loan despite an accepted offer letter for full time work AND a co-signer. Stay away if you don't have established credit.

Decent rates overall in the years I've been here, but the amount of technical problems is ridiculous. Often deposits by check are mixed up and put into wrong accounts too. Contact information from different accounts get mixed up with other customers and have issues with them trying to contact wrong numbers because of it. They crash every time "tax events" happen. They shut down online services for the weekend with the promise that card services and ATM withdrawal would still work, we just wouldn't be able to login for online banking. Our cards were declined on multiple accounts trying to pay at a restaurant, and would not work at the nearby ATM either, very clearly not what was expected based on the notice. To top it off, absolutely no customer service available during the issue or for the rest of the weekend. Not by phone, not by email, not by customer submission form, not by branch location, NOTHING. Seriously considering a switch of all our business after being left out to dry!
