I have been a customer with Truliant for over 8 years now. I went in to my local branch today for some reasonable information and I can not remember the ladies name but she was beyond rude. She was a Caucasian lady in one of the offices. The way she spoke to me was absolutely absurd and very unprofessional. She acted like there was a problem with me and the questions I was asking. After 8 years of being a loyal customer I will now look for a new bank as I will not tolerate being spoken down to for any reason I did not cause.

I've been a Truliant member since 2019. My experience at this location was HORRIBLE. On august 16th I set up an appointment for Medallion Signature Guaranteed, Prior to setting my appointment up. I called to ask if they require any types of documentation in order for me to get the signature. I was informed that I do not need any types of document to get the signature as long as I'm a Truliant member, I will be able to get it. so I proceeded to book my appointment. On my appointment date, I was told a total different story. David Payne was the one I dealt with. My first impression to him was not friendly or welcoming at all. He specifically stated to me that I would have to submit him a PDF file of my investment account reflecting ownership of my account and also reflecting ownership of my custodian account. Which was never mentioned to me when I called nor stated anywhere on their website. So, on my appointment date, he did not sign my document. I made sure to emailed him the same day the PDF file he stated with everything he requested. He responded if I could stop by lunch time the next day (august 17th), I replied to him that I could be there at 2:30pm & also called him about confirming the time. He never confirmed the time with me. David looked down & underestimated me because they was no reason I should have gone through verifying ownership of my investment account. I realized that he was not going to issued me the signature because of how he handled my request and all the unnecessary request he was asking me during my appointment. I decided to set up another appointment about the same request on another branch ( Park Road) where I was able to get the signature without unnecessary request & misleading information. I did not appreciate the kind of service provided to me at this branch & I should not have been treated this way after being a loyal Truliant member. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER.

Every time I walk in this bank it feels unwelcoming, strange vibe. This past Saturday I made an appointment for financial advice. I was stopped at the door by Autumn, who proceeded to speak my personal business very loudly to all in the bank not even knowing my situation completely. It was humiliating not at all tactful

My fiancé is a first time car buyer and went to the Matthews location to apply for a loan while speaking with robin gilgor she took a lunch break in the middle of our appointment!!! And then she said she was going to send a docu sign to my fiancé’s email. We were at the dealership for 3 hours!!! Waiting on the docu sign agreement to be sent. The salesman we were buying from kept calling and emailing her over and over to get the docu sign sent and it was still never sent we called corporate to see if they could send it and they said they couldn’t because the branch was now closed for the day. We drove an hour away to get all of this done and still could not drive the car home please please make robin gilgor go through a review of her service that was terrible I will never recommend you guys to anyone!!

Horrible experience. Card was never sent. After 3 weeks had to have another sent out. Unable to access my account unless I drove to matthews to use the outside ATM. Then my app wasn't working. Said I had no accounts. They took 3 calls to fix the error over several weeks of being told it was fixed. I shop at walmart regularly but every other time I'm there they cut my card off until I verify its me because it's 'unusual' activity. Of course you don't find that out until you are at the register. Now today I went to deposit a check and it says my registration for mobile deposit has been disabled. Good Grief... It's rediculous this credit union can not get it's act together. I just opened my account In December. I have never had any problems at wells fargo where I've had my account for 10 years. I will be switching back to wells fargo. This credit union is the worst. After traveling with the military and having several credit union accounts I can honestly say this is the worst credit union I've ever had the displeasure of being a member of. Save yourself a lot of aggrevation and gray hairs. Do not open an account with them.

The jury is still out. I had a bad experience as well. (Note: I have worked for the largest bank in the country) and been through multiple mergers. I deposited cash into the account upon opening, then received a very odd telephone call. Side bar, I hate that Coastal Federal Credit Union left the area. I went to deposit cash at the branch on Steele Creek, the teller placed the amount in both accounts incorrectly. So I went back a second time, same instance. It was NEVER corrected. I concur with Attorney Hall's experience that more training needs to be done. Also, you MUST use deposit tickets for cash, in the event of an dispute, the consumer wound not have to correct the mistakes of Truliant's employees. I had to return to the branch where the account was opened only to find out that Robyn didn't correct the deposits as requested and speak to the Manager there. I was chastised by her that I should have checked the transaction before I left? Interesting isn't it.. As stated, the jury is still out. I want to sign up for direct deposit of my social security.. questionable at this time.

When it comes to loans and lines of credit, this bank is awesome. Yes they have a few more hurdles but they end up with MUCH better rates and credit limits. To give an example, I wanted to open a line of credit for my business. Other banks offered only $20,000. David Payne and his team at Truliant were able to offer me $60,000 with lower closing costs and lower interest rates. David it extremely hard working as a bank manager and does whatever it takes to ensure satisfaction.

David and his team at the Matthews branch are stellar! I contacted David to switch from other bank because I was having constant issues with my debit account. David listened to my concerns, advised on the best account for me, and we had one opened in less than a day! The entire process was so easy and has worked out perfectly since. Thank you!

We financed one our car from here . We moved to Kentucky and trying to get tag transferred to KY . Where Truliant has to send title to county clerk office. I first mailed the title release in 12th of October. And faxed the same form in November And emailed Again in December first week. Made several calls lengthy wait . It’s February and still have got job done . We turned our tags to Nc . Now we are renting car .

There's this thing called a payment due date. I always mail a check early so it doesn't arrive late. Well Truliant cashes it early which hurts me because I have to plan all my bills out around my payment schedule. Then I even date the checks for the due date and they still cash them early, how I don't even know. Then then you have the fact that I have not received a single account statement to update me on the amounts I still owe on my loan. I have been with them 6 months. My state credit union does and I'm happy with them. I have never seen a financial institution drop the ball so many times. Basics.
