I’m not sure why I keep going to the drive-thru here at the Aberdeen location. I need to drive out of the way to a different branch, so I can get home faster. Yes I know, that makes zero sense. Absolutely horrible. I’m actually writing the review here as I type this. All lanes full, no cars moving. Consistently short staffed or people here not as experienced. This is not a first time experience. It’s ongoing! Someone from corporate, please help this team out.

BB&T at this location has WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I'VE EVER ENCOUNTERED. Needed important papers in safe deposit box and called ahead to get in, was told that they would only let me in to bank to get papers almost a week later. Have banking in other banks and have been given access same day. WHEN I CAN EVER GET IN WILL GET EVERYTHING AND EVERY ACCOUNT OUT OF THERE.

The tellers have been very pleasant to me and I find myself joking back and forth with them every time I stop by. They have always been prompt and handled my money well. I wish the interest rates were better for the savings account but since I am not considering that savings account much of an investment I will have grace for them. Thanks for the great service! Keep it up!

By far the rudest drive thru associate ever. The older lady with short brown hair. One of the companies I work for went under new management and since our last checks were paper checks instead of direct deposit, do not ask me why but they were, both owners called and waived the fees. Since I work two jobs, I went on a Monday and she tried to charge me 8.00 to cash it, I tried to explain the situation and she kept trying to tell me that I was wrong, so I just decided to take one of my checks back. Being in hospitality I know how you are suppose to act, you do not argue with customers, clearly she has a horrible life to be so rude. ANYWAYS so with the take over, the PCA could not get in reach with the bank properly so they had to cut us another check, from there management called and requested that our fees be waived due to the misunderstanding. The bank called back today around 1030 hours and said that they would not mind waiving the fees. So I get off my first job and then head to the bank, its Friday and the banks are going to be closed plus I work a double the next day. Well I pull up to the window and asked did I have an account, I told her what was going on and she replied in a really nasty and hateful attitude, "This is the last time we are willing to do this for you" So I'm like oh ok.... So there is a car in the second toll and she is trying to tell the lady that she doesnt have an account and the women stated "I've had an account for 28years" meanwhile she is being rude and rolling her eyes and cutting them towards the lady, which pissed me off. So I am still waiting to receive my money for the check, NO JOKE I was in like for at least 15-20mins. So I am getting agitated. Her whole personality is really horrendous and maybe she should look for a different job. I know you may be asking why did I not cash it with my own bank, its because my identity information was apart of the breach with Equifax and I do not have an account at this time.

They don't seem to care about their account holders. My income level plummeted bc of going back to school, what did they do? Charge me maintenance fees. I've been a customer since 2009...and my accounts have changed (on their part) a few times. You should be more loyal and sympathetic to your customers. When I closed my account to go to a bigger bank with a free account I was told you get what you pay for in a very rude way...

My review is to warn as many as possible about an active scam in our Community and also the role that BB&T played in us falling victim to such a scheme and how they refused to take responsibility for their actions… or lack there of. My Husband has been with BB&T for 22 years. He recently encountered a problem banking with BB&T when He was misinformed and became a victim of fraud. Now BB&T is only interested in protecting themselves instead of the financial wellbeing of “valued customers”. My Husband was recently contacted by an agency, inquiring if he was interested in a potential Project Manager position opening close to us. He was contacted for a phone interview and completed 3 out of 4 weeks of a training course that was required for employment of the company. He was told he was doing so well with the course that he was given a project to procure a few supplies for the new office that was opening, that he was to be employed at. A supposed $21,000 line of credit was opened for him, thru the company, in order to make supply the purchases. They wanted him to start right away so they made the suggestion of transferring money into his credit account with BB&T for him to start the purchasing project, while waiting for a company card. We thought this kind of an odd request, so he contacted the branch of BB&T he primarily banks with to see if this was even possible to do and also contacted BB&T's fraud protection to inquire that once the money was transferred in, if there was any way for the money to be taken back out? He received a resounding "no"! No ifs, ands, buts or howevers. With this reassurance, he authorized 2, $2,500 transfers onto his credit card, made the purchase of 2 Mac Books and 2 IPhones, covered the remainder of shipping of the items to the company's programmer, and the company then authorized a 3rd transfer of $1,159 to reimburse him for the cost, out of pocket. Again he called BB&T's fraud protection to confirm that the 3rd transfer had gone thru and everything was ok? The person he spoke with, on this call, immediately told him that she thought it was a scam. She told him that it was more than likely a fake account, that the individuals behind it floated the money into the account and used the time lapse to confirm the account and the transfers, to get what they wanted out of us and ultimately, with the account being fake, the transfers would be reversed back out. Indeed, this ended up being exactly what happened. Had we been informed, with the first call to fraud protection that this was a possibility, we probably would not have gone forward with the transfers or the purchases and would have reported this company immediately! Whether it was lack of knowledge or lack of motivation to do one's job to the fullest, we were left with a false sense of security and now our family is suffering the consequences. From that first phone call to the present, no one that we have contacted has agreed to help or even inquire if there is anything that can be done on BB&T's end to help rectify the situation. They even tried to pawn it off on Visa, since they are the merchant for the card! As far as BB&T is concerned... I authorized it, I made the purchases, it is MY fault, ENTIRELY. I am happy to take responsibility for my role in this but I feel that BB&T should take some responsibility as well! I had reservations about this, even though I was assured it was ok, and I went through with it anyway, THAT is on me. The Branch I primarily do my banking with and Fraud Protection didn't do their job. They didn't do everything they could to protect me from fraud, even when specifically asked, and in THAT, I feel that some responsibility should be taken by BB&T. I hope that this has been an eye opener for the people of this and surrounding communities on the dedication of scammers and how far they will take a situation just to get you. I also hope that it shows current and/or potential BB&T/Suntrust Customers the lack of commitment this Financial Institution has in protecting their “valued Customer’s” financial future.

By far the worst branch in the area. Every once in a while you get a teller that smiles and is realitivly fast but the good ones never seem to stay long. Mostly just sour faces and no help. Just waited 20 minutes to make 2 deposits and I was the first person in line behind the person being helped. Go to the branch in southern pines or Pinehurst they are much better.

If i could give it a zero star i would. Absolutely rude. The tellers at the drive thru wouldn't even answer the call, i had a question. They just walked away. That had to be resolved!

Literally take 30+ mins to get through the drive through, always laughing a joking but never hustling to get their customers what they need and their attitudes are always stuck up. Staff needs more training.

I waited 35 minutes in the drive through and only moved about 3 car spaces and still had 8 cars in front of me. I had to leave the line and will try another location.
