This is my neighborhood bank, and I drop by fairly often for different things. Recently, I dropped by with my dad to get a cashier's check to close on my first house. Connie was so nice!!! My dad (who doesn't like anybody) was very impressed by how upbeat and courteous she was, and so easy to work with. She had a big smile on her face the whole time. Thank you, Connie!

I spoke with a representative on behalf of my friend who was having issues with withdrawing a lump sum of money that was readily available in his account. The representative told me that it was another banks fault and the person that transferred money to him did not endorse the cashier's check. I don't know much, but I do know that the bank endorses a cashier's check, not an individual. Not only did my friend feel racially profiled he also spent multiple hours away from work trying withdraw money that was readily available for him to receive and this particular branch acted like that they could not help him at all. However, after many wasted hours with no avail at this particular branch we drove down the road to different branch who didn't know what the issue was and immediately withdrew the amount that my friend requested to be released. Honestly, the lack of accountability, professionalism and the blame shift is appalling for a bank. It hurt me so that I felt compelled to leave a post.

I opened a new account with Truist this week. I had a lot of difficulty adding recipients to the Zelle associated my Truist account. (Check Reddit there are numerous customer that are experiencing problems with Zelle). Due to the Zelle issues this morning I attempted to withdraw funds from my account. My banking app and the online account both indicated the funds from a cashier’s check were deposited into my account. I arrived at the branch on S Quincy St. at 9:00am and advised Brach Coordinator, Shanta Gautam that I wanted to make a withdrawal. Mr. Gautam advised me that my withdrawal needed approval. This was odd because again I could see the funds in the account as deposited and not pending. Mr. Gautam asked Ms. Connie Hale for approval. Ms. Hale refused to approve my withdraw because she stated that she could not see that the funds had been cleared by the bank that issued the cashier’s check. There was no hold on my account and drawer banks are required to immediately honor cashier’s checks at presentment per the UCC. Ms. Hale maintained the same line that there was an issue with drawer bank and nothing was wrong with Truist’s systems, and the funds were not cleared to be deposited into my account, even after the drawer bank indicated that the cashier’s check had indeed been cashed and there was not a stop order placed on the cashier’s check. All in all I pleaded with Manager, Anthony Bonia, Connie Hale, and Shanta Gautam for 4 hours and was told my funds could not be withdrawn. After this I traveled to a branch less than a mile away and was able to complete the withdrawal for the entire amount of the cashier’s check with no issue. The Teller at the Walter Reed branch advised that there should not have been ANY problem as the funds were available. This was in complete juxtaposition from the representations made by Mr. Bonia, Mr Gautam, and Ms. Hale. The 2700 S Quincy Street experience and my general experience with Truist has been awful and I will be closing my account.

I have received Top Notch Service from this Bank. Fernando who is now located in the Clarendon Branch goes above and beyond to help me. Best Banker I have ever had.

There is ample free parking in the garage next to the bank and I rarely wait long before being served. The bank is clean and the customer service is good.

Terrible customer service! I went in to cash a $400 and the teller proceeded to call my customer 4 times in a row without even waiting a moment. Who does that? After I told him I'd rather not have him continuously calling, he gets an attitude. Go somewhere else if you want a positive banking experience.

Terrible customer service that required multiple visits because they kept forgetting to have us sign documents. Unorganized which is concerning since they are a bank! No concern for establishing a relationship with their customers, you are just one of many.
