    If you are looking for property management service, look no further than The Shandon Group! I've been working with them for 8 months now and I have 0 complaints. They had a team member, appraise the rental value of my home in 1 day and within 1 week my house up and running with pictures! In terms of customer service, they're extremely thorough in response to any questions I had regarding repairs, billing and customer requests. They have great relationships with their local contractors and all the prices for repairs have been fair. As I invest more in the Columbia market I will for sure use The Shandon Group again for all property management related services!

    If I could give 0 stars I would. The level of professionalism with the actual owners wife Mary is simply ridiculous. She'll respond to this with a false and snarky remark. I've lived at my previous address for almost eight years. The owners switched property management companies a few time withing the last two years and the Shandon group decided to give me a written thirty day notice because I complained about black mold exposure NUMEROUS times. The black mold was found by the housing inspector that was doing a appraisal on the house. So instead of them letting us rent a different property "while this one was being fixed", they said I'd have to do a application and be approved for a different home. I wouldn't recommend a dog to these heartless people. I am a cancer survivor and my husband was on life support do to severe covid complications. We depleted all of our savings. Had it not been for a go fund me and a few great friends my family and I would have been homeless. Spare yourself the stress and find a company that cares about their tenants.

    Ms. Esenwein, we recently just took over this management and upon your concerns for the state of the home and our inspections we determined that the property had to be vacant in order for us to fully repair those items. When we sent you the required notice you stated you would prefer to stay and I tried to explain to you that we could not do that especially after you voiced safety concerns. I am truly sorry you feel our office deserves 0 stars but that review should be directed at your prior management companies who allowed those problems to exist and grow.

    Allowed someone to submit an application for a home while I was viewing it. Completely unprofessional. The home I viewed was also filthy, dead bugs on the floor, and had two wasp nests on the front porch. I was also not refunded the $20 key charge which was promised would be returned. I highly recommend looking elsewhere for rental properties.

    This company seems pretty prejudice if you ask me! I would give them no stars if that were an option! My mom && I walked in their building to ask about two properties. The lady up front took one look at our black skin and told us they weren’t available. She was lying those properties were available and are still available!!!!

    Showed up with the past due rent according to what they stated that they wanted. Got a cashier's check from the bank went to deliver the check then they turned around and stated that they don't the bank check but a money order. Now they are evicting our friend overnight and they are having everything moved out by 5:00am. The mother has a 17 month old who's recently have had surgery this past Friday. They recently experienced Covid-19 in the past week causing 3 of the children to be hospitalized due dehydration. They had no help from this rectal company. If any of you have this rental company. DO NOT RENT through them. They will be reported to the housing authorities and BBB.

    Unfortunately, you were given incorrect information by your friend. Once the eviction process starts there becomes a point where it will not be stopped. In this case once we go to court and the court makes a decision we can not accept funds. We truly apologize and would be happy to explain our eviction policy to you if you'd like to make an appointment.

    First of all, the phone is never answered when you try to call and they only communicate through Zillow. We finally scheduled a showing and the person who showed up, Will, knew absolutely nothing about the property he was supposed to be showing after telling us to ask him questions. We showed up to do an application and already had the security deposit in a check and cash for the application fee (which stated on the website is OK as long as it’s for the application fee). I was told that I could not use cash, so he told me to go to Publix and get a money order 5 minutes away and he would stay late to accept the application, which only would’ve been 5 minutes after close. I get to Publix and get a call that he will no longer wait after telling me he would. The manager sat at her desk and didn’t say a word. These people are unprofessional liars. They said we could come back first thing in the morning but I live 2 hours away. Don’t tell people things and then go back on your word. Find a better property management group so these people don’t waste your time and gas money.

    The customer service at this particular company was definitely below satisfaction or simply basic standards. I called to report one of their unkept properties and the lady who I was randomly transferred to was extremely unprofessional- never properly introducing herself, speaking in pronouns of who she was going to contact (I kept having to ask her to clarify and she did with a agitated attitude). Typical rental property management- place non-considerate tenants in your neighborhood for profit and extremely low customer service. I realize it’s a Friday but handling business during business hours is definitely your job. Would never recommend for property management or suggest for a potential renter. *Update* now they are saying the don’t own the property when the rude lady just confirmed they did while in the phone with her (not even 10 minutes ago). This place has to be some type of scam business. Based on the other reviews - they actually average a collective Extremely Unprofessional.

The yard is a nuisance to look at, especially when a holiday weekend is approaching. Please advise your tenants to regularly maintain the yard and consider their neighbors.
