I used The Gold Standard to buy an engagement ring, and can’t say enough good things about Scott. After visiting a couple places before, right when I met Scott I knew I was going to buy from him. Between his honesty and great personality, and then his knowledge for everything, made it an easy choice to buy from The Gold Standard. Would highly recommend this place to everyone, who is looking for a great, helpful and relaxing experience start to finish. Thank you Scott, for the amazing engagement ring, that my fiancé absolutely loves.

There was a time when I went through a really difficult situation. I really had no where to turn and unfortunately had to pawn all of my cherished belongings. Doing that was extremely scary and humiliating. I checked out a few local shops I even visited one, it was a very uncomfortable,scary situation even to the point where I felt violated. I immediately walked out. I had done some research and I found The Gold Standard in Syosset, NY. I was skeptical but decided to check it out. Needless to say when I walked in I was quite surprised I was greeted with warm smiling faces, non-judgmental people with extreme professionalism and a beautiful office like setting. Actually there to help! My nerves suddenly calmed down as they offered me coffee, spoke to me kindly and I immediately began to feel at ease. It is difficult to struggle and to be put into situations where you never thought you would be. I met Paulina and Scott (one of the owners) they worked with me and gave me the absolute best deal. They actually asked me what I needed to get myself out of my situation before putting a price on my valuables. Unfortunately I was not able to pick up my belongings by the necessary due date; I was so frightened and upset, Scott and Paulina assured me that they would not sell my things (which legally they were able to do) and that they were willing to work with me. Always making me feel OK. These two people told me not to worry, they knew I would be back. They would not get rid of my belongings! Hard to imagine that these wonderful people Would actually restore my faith in humanity. If you are ever faced with uncertainty know that there are people out there that are good, that are not looking to hurt you and that are willing to help you during your difficult time without judgment. I do hope you’re never faced with my situation but should that happen The Gold Standard is the absolute place to visit! Thank you Scott, thank you Paulina I shall never forget your kindness.

It was a pleasure dealing with the people at The Gold Standard in Syosset. Paulina and Scott explained in detail how the process works for pawning my jewelry, since this was my first time. I got their name from a friend who highly recommended them and am very pleased that they took the time to help me when I really needed it. This is a First Class company!!

I haven't been here in awhile but having been involved in several transactions with Scott and his staff, I have to say you will not find better people to deal with anywhere in this area. They will work with you as needed and you WILL get the best deal possible.
