    Very slow customer service setup. Here we are on a Thursday, 8 people in line and two tellers. Burning through my lunch time to make a transaction.

    I am not a member of this credit union. My father is and was recently put in a nursing home. I was given power of attorney over his accounts. He has several loans, credit cards, etc. thru TDECU. At least once a month they lock the accounts and cards because one of his accounts is 30 days past due. They will not release his money for anything else until those payments are brought to current status. They deactivate his card and if there is an automatic debit for another bill it gets sent back. I dont understand how they can hold his money hostage until they get their money. Im not even sure its legal! I have been to talk to them several times and I have been told " he shouldnt let his payments be late". " Its going to look bad on his credit". Hes been in the home for a year. Not coming out. In my experiences with them they are all just rude and inconsiderate. I would never have open an account here of my own, and certainly wouldnt recommend it to anyone else.

    This review is what I think overall about TDECU as a financial institution. If you are looking for a credit union to be a member of, build a relationship with and a credit union who really value and puts their members first. Then I must inform you, this is NOT the credit union for you. I have been a member with this credit union for about 6 now. I thought been a member this long, having direct deposit setup and a savings would have some value. Im very disappointed with how they treated me as a member. My account benefits like overdraft protection and courtesy pay were stopped back in 2014 due to a overdraft charge that I couldn't payback right away due to a motorcycle accident that took place around the same time. TDECU finance my motorcycle and they seen it was paid off from the insurance company. I was out of work for about 1 1/2 yrs, they didn't help me though my situation or after. I lost a lot. When I was able to work again, I paid what was owed and stayed a member. It has been almost 4 yrs now without having my full account privileges. I tried talking with an account specialist to see if I could get my full account benefits back, everytime it gets activated, couple days later it would get deactivated. Finally, I had a chance to discuss my situation with someone higher and regardless of how long I've been a member, how many personal and finance loans were paid back, been in good standing, I wasn't allowed to get my full account privileges back. They offered to reinstate it but change my benefits. I would have to wait 90 days, like I'm a new member and they was going to lower my limited amount. As long as your life doesn't have a change out of your control, that's drastic, this is a good bank.

    Horrible experiences. There has been two separate occasions where the teller has incorrectly deposited our money. Both times the amount was $100. We were completely dismissed. Horrible customer service.
