This branch has lousy customer service! A year ago I opened a TD Visa credit card. In order to do that I had to deposit $2000. into a special account which served as collateral until I established a credit history. Today I called this branch and spoke with the assistant store manager to see if my card had been upgraded and if my $2000. could be release for other purposes. She quickly told me I needed to call the # on the back of the card and that they would be able to provide the information I was looking for. After waiting on hold for more than 40+ minutes with Customer Support Services, I was told by the customer support that my card had indeed been upgraded and that I needed to call the branch directly to find out if my $2000. had been released by the bank. If the assistant branch manager had bothered to pull up my account today when I called, she could have gotten me the answer to my question in an easy 5 minute call. Instead she told me to call the # on the back of my card. I spent 40+ minutes of my time waiting on a customer support line because she couldn't be bothered to pull up my account.

Avoid at all costs. ...and they WILL cost you. The only reason I did business with them is because I lived a block away from a branch and could walk there. Not even worth that convenience. They have the gall to call themselves "America's most convenient Bank. " It should be " America's costliest, least consumer friendly bank. " Fees for EVERYTHING. I was away on vacation in Fla., and misplaced my phone, so I couldn't call for a balance ( which they charge for ), or look up on my phone Instead, I went to an ATM to check twice, and they charged me 3.50 each time, because it wasn't their machine. The other bank didn't even charge me. most banks dropped that practice years ago. TD ( Toronto Dominion) is based in Toronto. On another occasion, I was on vacation in Montreal and made several withdrawals at TD Bank. Charged me CD 5.00 ( with exchange rate, I suppose ) each time, totaling @ US 18.00. Again, no notice of the charge before proceeding with the withdrawal. When I went to the downtown Burlington, VT branch to ask the manger about it, she was annoyed and gruff. At first she said that she doubted that I was charged...as if I made it up. When I asked her to check my account on her computer, she changed her tune and said that the charges were because the bank was out of the country....even though it's the same bank. Then she gave me some off-the-cuff, manufactured spiel about international banking laws. I closed the account shortly after. Notice there is no response to any of the comments. They couldn't care less, unless their getting paid.

I was charged several hundreds of dollars in NSF and naturally I go to see what’s going on and never have I been treated so rudely in my life. I never understood systemic racism until I stepped foot in this branch. Also the district manager notated my account not to process any reversals. I am filing claims to arbitration and to small claims for these fees because of their poor banking practices. I will be filing complaints through all proper channels. THEY WILL CHARGE YOU A FEE AFTER YOU MAKE A BANK DEPOSIT EVEN IF YOUR ACCOUNT OVERDRAWS FOR AN HOUR. The staff at this store doesn’t make it better with their disgusting service including Megan she’s absolutely the worst service person I’ve ever encountered she treated me so bad over the phone I’m actually really appalled and angry. I should not feel so horribly about this institution. Filing small claims case today. $800 in overdraft fees?! See you in court!

Horrible staffs.. I went to withdraw money and forgot to bring my driver’s license. I showed my green card different form of id but she was so after my driver’s license . I asked to see the manager but she said manager is busy. Even though I am a regular person who goes to this branch everytime another associate pretended like she had never seen me. I asked her to verify my identity asking questions because there are different ways to verify whether that account belongs to me or not. I said I can tell you my ss # or I can provide you the recent transaction she was like she can not do that. I went inside the bank because I wanted 100 dollars bill otherwise would use atm. Just wasted my whole 45 mins . Horrible horrible .

I have been working with TD since I moved to Vermont, ever year I saw improvements in their web and also in person services. Keep it up and go beyond. Thank you for your services, I read other sad comments, I think TD should reply to those unhappy comments. There is more improvement opportunities out there.

Terrible banking institution not customer friendly or helpful. Just a large bank treating "customers" like cattle. Be prepared for high levels of frustration
