    If you are considering transferring to this bank . DO NOT DO IT . This bank never transfers your money on time . If anything goes wrong on the bank behalf they will NOT resolve it and will refuse to help any way . I’ve had $500 taken away from this bank last year and when I called about it they told me there was nothing that they could do . My card is constantly getting locked without my approval or even a notification. Every time I’m having issues with my card and I call I am put on hold for over 40 minutes. This is the absolutely worst bank to ever exist . TCF’s employees make your experience much worse , they do not care about your banking problems and 90% of the time have a disgusting and unprofessional attitude. I absolutely cannot wait until I make the switch to a new bank

    I opened an account online on a Thursday. The next Friday I went to the Miller park branch and got a cashiers check, no problem. Went back to the Same branch today to deposit money and they tell me my account was closed, but no one could tell me why. I left, signed up with PNC bank in Wauwatosa and it was all good. I don’t recommend TCF in general, but especially the Miller park location. Go to PNC instead.

    The only problem I had is with the virus going on in the bank is not open for the inside for people who have no vehicles we have to stand in the line with in between all the cars and that's dangerous for us that have no vehicles there should be something that would be more safer for pedestrians to do their banking. But other than that everything was great from the online banking the check my account to the customer service on the phone thank you

    Edit: So earlier in 2018, I gave TCF Bank a positive review on this board because of the friendly staff at this particular location. However, I recently cut all ties with this mistake-prone and unethical bank as a whole and switch banks. I cannot support anything related to TCF when they have a faulty online bill pay system where when I try to pay my bills, it repeatedly goes to the wrong companies. Finding out I have been late on my rent multiple times due to my bank's incompetency is totally outrageous and obnoxious. TCF Bank misdirected my bills to wrong companies umpteen times so that I had different companies asking about my delinquent payments. I was paying my bills through their online bill pay from September of last year through March of this year with no problem, then they started sending my payments to wrong companies after some sort of website update. Here's the kicker: so their customer service blamed me for the matter, claiming I "probably" didn't use their website system correctly. So the manager walks me through the steps of paying a bill online and then told me it was submitted, that he could see the submission on his end and that my landlords will have my money in a few days. What do you want to guess happened umpteen days later? Surprise surprise, I was called by my landlords and told they didn't have my payment and a different TCF customer service person said the payment didn't go through at all. When I requested TCF Bank to get my misdirected money back to my account, they said I would have to dispute it out with the companies they misdirected my money to with no relief offered of any sort. After they acknowledged their err in money not going where I paid it to, I asked them if they would send a letter explaining the matter to my landlords. They of course refused and accused me of probably using their website wrong some more. Err... the same glitch happened when a manager from TCF walked me through the steps. Goodbye TCF Bank. I hope the public signs a petition to put this bank out of business!

    This bank wins for the most downtime on their app or atm's. Like every week maybe a few times a week their app wont let you check the balance, their website is down for maintenance, or the atm is down. I dont understand how their technology is this bad.

    Ya know, in a world where an average rating is looked at as an "OMG what possibly must have gone wrong!?!?" From the company.. there is a problem. So you need to understand you are the problem. Does When 4.3 Stars Is Average: The Internet’s Grade-Inflation Problem Ring a bell? This "calling out" of a review that, is above your average (2.7 I'm looking your way), is terrible practice to inflate your Stars. Do you believe we should start at 5 and go down if you screw up? No, I went there, you provided what you should have. No balloons no fireworks also no problems. And you want a participation trophy. Geeeesh I should drop it down to a two just because you put a Scarlett star on me. Stop this practice or you will never get a true gauge. But it's obvious that doesn't matter. Check with the people that gave you a bad rating don't bug those that didn't disparage you.

    Worst bank ive ever had i overdraft 20$ and they charge me 200$ im getting a new bank and they are not getting the money

    Either the branch on south chàse street or 76 appleton took my money...someone from the bank stopped my bank statement from coming too my address! They let all sorts of companys just go in my account without my approval...sad too say tcf is in a WORLD of trouble!
