I recently purchased my car from here, a certified pre-owned 2015 Legacy. The entire experience was pleasant from start to finish! Worked with Cameron after putting an inquiry on a used Subaru. Drove all the way from the Panhandle to take a look at it. Came in with a challenging trade situation (recent damage and negative equity), never felt like the team wasn't working on getting me in a Subaru. After working through a couple used options, Cameron came back with a great deal on a NEW Outback. I went from looking at a 3 year old, 80K mile used car to a brand new 2019 Outback. The deal was exactly what I wanted with the finance team offering great term options to choose from. Had a great conversation with Jim, the Business Manager. We visited Koby Subaru several times to test drive vehicles before we decided on a car to buy. They were very helpful and we never felt pressured to buy. I was disappointed with my most recent visit to the service department. I called in and scheduled an appointment for an oil change and a recall for the gas gauge, which was just in need of a software update from what I understand. The person setting up the appointment told me I had a second recall on my vehicle for the radio. I said that one had already been completed, the update doesn't need to be applied again. I show up for my appointment on time, hand my keys over and head to the waiting room. 2 hours later my car is ready. 2 hours for an oil change and a software update? I was about ready to ask how much longer it would be when someone finally came for me. The reason why it took so long is because in addition to the oil change and single recall I had asked them to perform they also tried applying the update to the radio I already said had been completed. They also performed a tire rotation that I did not ask for nor did they say would be done when I checked in. Then they charged me for the unwanted tire rotation. Please Koby Subaru, take notes when the appointment is made. This allows you to know what your customers have requested at the time of the appointment so time is not wasted performing tasks that have already been completed or don't need to be performed at all. Also, don't automatically assume customers want "recommended" services they did not request without clearing it with the customer first.
