State Employees’ Credit Union Fairgrove Church Rd, Hickory

The bankers at this bank are awesome I would give them 10 stars if I could. The 2 start rating, however, is because some of the tellers (not all) are not so great, especially one by the name of Danielle. She’s been pretty rude every encounter I’ve had with her. Seems as though she hates her job. Other than that, everyone else has been awesome!

The best bank since 2007. I never had problems them cuz the staff is very helpful fun to talk to. But I really didnt like their drive thru cuz it took me like almost an hour siting in my car on a hot day since covid 19

The staff was very friendly and very helpful. Once I got up to the drive-thru it took them a bit of time to get to me. Grant you they were busy but one on either side went before me and I was there before them. So needless to say I wasn't quite happy about that.

I have been banking with State Employees since 2012 and I have been running into problems with this bank since my car was totaled. The manager is very rude. He yelled at me and was very disrespectful and my mom had to witness it. I have had 3 cars through them and he was upset because my car was not payed for right away. He had my current car at the time towed for no reason, documented false information on my file and harassed me with phone calls and letters closing my checking account and my loans. I had to go to another bank to open an account because I work for the state my check is deposit each month. I do not like the service I have been receiving . To top it all of my insurance has paid that car off. I have not gotten one apology. 7 years with this bank and 3 paid off cars. I have NO repos or what so ever. I use to be in love with this bank.

I have been a LGFCU member for over 15 yrs, I even left one time early on and switched to People's Bank, only to discover within a month that I missed my Credit Union & came back! I now do all my banking with them, including my IRA, and the financing of my car. I especially love the one on one customer service I get from Senior Loan Advisor, Brooke Hilman. She has helped me so much over the years as I've had so many transitions over the years becoming a single mother! She truly cares, answers my dumb questions (Lol!), and never treats me like a account number & that means so much! The tellers at this branch are always kind & the knowledgeable. I would give 10 stars if I could!

We had to sit down with a loan officer for several things today and Jennifer Lemons gave us excellent service! She was super accommodating and patient.

I went in today and had the unfortunate pleasure of having to deal with a RUDE Banker Named Elizabeth Chapman she wasn’t nice or helpful in any way how she deals with the public I just hope she not like this with everyone

SECU in Hickory on Fairgrove teller said they would have to put a hold on mine because it was a large amount ($1000).........When I got through questioning the teller she cashed it. Ive cashed checks that were well over 1000.00 and never had them held before. She had an attitude and it seemed like she just didnt want to cash my check. Asked me what was the purpose of cashing my check, frankly it really none of your damn business

NCSECU offers a wide variety of banking services: in addition to basic accounts, they also offer Money Market and portfolio services, as well as competitive auto, home, and personal loans. I appreciate the kind demeanor of the employees at this location, and I LOVE that they are open until 5:30pm!

Not very friendly at all. Hardly any eye contact and makes us feel like the joy is gone from their jobs probably. We started going to other locations and may change banks entirely.
