Unbelievably terrible service! Honestly if I never walked into a SECU again it wouldn't be soon enough

Awful experience. Had a unique situation regarding a members paycheck that did not get direct deposited. As the employees employer I felt I needed to get the check deposited into his wife's account. (which is where he had his direct deposit coded to go) They were out of town for their anniversary and it was my responsibility to get the money in their account. Beth at their branch in Mt Airy was extremely helpful in researching to find out why the money was not deposited. I went to the branch on New Garden Road in Greensboro with check in hand, where I was met by a prissy female manager who did not take the time to let me explain what I was trying to do. She just said it couldn't be done. She did not even try to help me resolve this situation. I proceeded to my bank where I cashed his check and took the check back to the New Garden location and they gladly took the cash. No star was not an option!

I love our credit union. They really are here to help you.

Very smooth, very professional experience doing a car loan and depositing unusual checks there. Can recommend it to anyone. (Well, anyone who qualifies for State Employees' Credit Union...)

I have been a very active member of SECU over 40 years. I have had accounts, credit card and major loans at SECU. I’ve banked with several institutions for the past 60 years and the best of them don’t come even close to the professionalism, expediency and high quality financial and customer services that I receive at the NC State Employees Credit Union - and that includes not just my local branch, but every other branch office I have used across North Carolina. If you qualify for membership, you would be missing a lot if you don’t join and take advantage of their quality services.

Me and my husband opened a joint checking account and were seen by mr. Hennessee and we transferred 200 dollars into that account. We signed all paperwork given to us. We wait to get our cards in the mail and the cards got lost so they send them again. We receive them and I go to check the balance and the money was never transferred into the account. So basically we thought we had 200 more dollars than we had bc it was never taken out of the account. When I called the bank to figure out what was going on the lady was very rude and couldn't really offer any explanation. Very disappointed.
