Avoid!!!! Communication with this company is the worse..first they forgot (or loss my information) to process my heloc in the time frame I was told back in October. I was told 30 days ..so by Dec. I just assumed it wasn't approved.. Mid January , I get an email from the closing attorney in regards to my loan. I was shocked and said this still exists? Since i had no information nor emails, i figured they didnt process it. zero communication then and today it's the worse. Their app is minimal. It lacks vital information in regards to your account. I linked my main bank account thinking it was link, so I could pay my monthly payment. Nope. But now I can't remove it. I hide it..and it's still there. When I look at the app, it shows my loan is less then what I have used. But yet customer service says differently? App issues? Or dishonest policy's..most likely both They have zero business linking to my bank information on their app..especially if I can't make payments between the 2.. Three they applied a MPI amount to my loan, without discussing this with me. I have had zero information about this. It was not discussed with me at time of the application. I absolutely detest this company. I will never use them ever again. The fees are horrible!!! Also info, I never got this info during this process. My own bank doesn't charge me fees. I can use a debit card anywhere and my bank reimburses me for fees drawn from other banks. I have called before asking questions about my loan and everyone is rude. I am amazed at how anyone can justify using this place for anytime of business.

Been a user of this bank for 5 years or so. Strongly recommend other banks, their online banking system always has issues. The actual bank service has to many stipulations preventing certain cash withdraws or cashing checks. It takes forever to get any customer service and they are not really competitive with interest rates and so on. You're better off with another large name bank such as TD, Discover or BB&T. But if you just have a credit union, I'd consider other options.

I tried to change my checking from a fee base to free because I do not use it often, only to be told that I couldn't. I am looking for another bank!

I cannot say enough amazing things about Chelsea and Marquita at Spero! We have used this dynamic duo for two different car loans and they are the dream team. They - quite handily - squashed all competitors offers and had the loans quoted and closed within hours. They handled a situation with a very frustrating and unprofessional car dealership with more grace than they deserved and made it happen when most others would have thrown in the towel. If you’re looking for your next loan or place to bank with, look no further! Updated 11/5/21 we just closed on our 4th vehicle loan with them today. Jonathan was amazing in helping us close quickly and painlessly. Within 45 minutes of having the buyers order, he HAND DELIVERED the check to Carmax. Our sales agent was blown away. He’d been selling cars at Carmax for 5 years and said he’d never seen another bank do that. They are, seriously, the best.

I have been with Telco for over 25 years. I have always been treated very nice. I have never had a problem with my checking account or savings account. I have had a personal loan and two car loans with them and never had a problem. I will never change to another credit union Union or bank. I am happy with Telco.

Got a auto loan back in May of2018 and opened a savings account with SCTELCO. Had a great experience until they changed to Spero.financial. I made all of my payments on time until the pandemic hit. Got a email to call the recovery department 1st person I spoke with was said they could help me deferr my loan for a month, while all others lenders were doing 3months. Finally got a hold of someone that really listened and helped me get the 90 days. Since then I have tried to make my payment back a few months ago I missed one and then got behind. So I have tried to keep in touch and make arrangements to catch back up. (I do NOT answer numbers I don't know and they don't leave a voice mail) I made the Spero aware that my vehicle was not in the best condition in December and I would like to have someone call me about anything we could do(never got a call). Got mostly caught up owed $150 and change on my January payment. On Feb 6th I was in a single vehicle accident. On February 19th I went into a bank to talk about opening another auto loan and using the vehicle as trade in on a new loan. But it turned out that I could file a claim on my auto insurance.(which I did) when I went to my appointment on Friday I told them what happened and that there was a claim and that the vehicle might have been totaled. So I asked if we could put a hold on the account for a few days to see what insurance was going to do the following week. No was the answer. I had 144 in my savings account. I gained access to my online banking monday at 12:30. I called the recovery department at 1:20 to see if there was anything I needed to do to help with insurance claim. No was the answer. I was then told I only owed $15 and change for my January payment.? (What? Ok) I told them I had $144 in my savings to take the $15 balance out of that... Thats already be taken...(huh?) So I told him I would pay it later. Call a local branch they looked it up and said the RECOVERY DEPARTMENT took it. I said I did not ok that. She said she would contact them and they would call me back. THEY DID NOT!! Apparently this is legal as I looked it up. But it is still some Bull! My 144 was taken from my account Monday(feb 22) 1hr after I regained access to it. Then today(feb 25) I get a notice in the mail saying I owe 13.05.? And that its very important I contact them. That they "view my lack of response to prior c Notices and phone calls as an extremely serious matter". I just talk to them Monday. When the issue with my vehicle is resolved I will be closing my account. I will not recommend to ANYONE! I will warn people about the constant harassment and threats of recovery of vehicle that I have recieved.
