Our mortgage was sold to this company. We requested a document for taxes and they stated they were not able to provide this information via phone but instead we would have to write in a letter to get a response. This is ridiculous and we would prefer our loan had never been sold to this company. Stay clear!

Customer service is unacceptable. Every time I call with questions I get the run around or miss information. If I could refinance at this time to move my loan to another company I would do it in a heart bea .

Doing the happy dance because today I am DONE with SLS! They have been nothing but difficult from the get-go--even today, the customer rep could not explain the amount of my refund or why it differed from what my statement said. At this point, I'm willing to lose $300 just to never have to deal with this company again.

Update 08-15-2017 My loan was successfully modified at original 3.125 percent amortized over 160 months. Best loan ever. Rating goes from 1 star to 5 stars. Couldn't be happier. 2016 Worst company ever.

If I could give this company zero stars I would. They' are incompetent and have lost numerous checks and charge late fees. I have never tried so hard to get a company to take my money. The customer service is awful, it takes approximately one hour to reach anyone and once you do they drop calls so you have to wait on the phone again. The continuously forget to pay town taxes and try to force the borrower to pay for their errors. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!!

Worst company to work with on anything. I can't even...if there was a way to post with no "stars", I would. The only way they are still in business is that your loan gets "sold" to them, consumer has no choice. Definitely would not CHOOSE to work with them, as they don't work with us!

Not knowing what they doing!!!! Called couple times with questions and no one had no ideas how to help you and solve your problem. No calculating right monthly payment do on end of year I finished paying extra $1400 because they didn't calculated right. After I payed Tharp put my payment yowrds domthing completely different. Took three calls and couple hours of frustration to fix it. Still not fixed. It's just not acceptable how they are handling people's money. We work way to hard to earn that money to. E able to pay our bills so they should handle it right.

They Assumed my 2nd Mtg from E trade Bank january 2015. First 3 pmts were correct. For May 2015 pmt they have changed my loans terms to a Heloc. I did a mtg mod with E Trade in 2010 for a fixed 15 year term and they claim they don't have the note , only the original. Also have not taken last month's pmt thru western union. i have receipt and it shows on my bill that its been applied. I have involved NYS DFS and will hire a lawyer as they are screwing me out money- not correctly applying principal and interest. They increased my monthly pmt of $503 which is suppose to include Pand I but treating this pmt as all principal and throwing a $263 finance charge for a $764 pmt- Phone calls not returned-Every CSR person i speak with is unknowledgeable and each has a different story. As of 4/10 they supposedly sent correspondence to ETRade/PNC Bank to locate my modification.

SLS is unfortunately the least functional loan provider I've ever been "sold" to. Their website lacks almost all functionality, payoff amounts are difficult to get, you can't unenroll in auto payments, etc. Their CSRs seem helpful but often can't deliver the promised documents. If you have a choice, I'd shop elsewhere.

Please don't start calling me on the 2nd of the month when grace period is until the 15th. Please don't call me everyday, all day until my payment is actually LATE! Please don't call me at 8:00am on the weekend and tell me you can't see the payment on your screen after I tell you it was sent in. Please don't call me on the 6th of the month and ask me if I want to make payment arrangements even after I told you it was done. You may call and harass me after the 15th. Please don't phone bank me until after said date. Oh, yes, I almost forgot, please don't over talk me when I ask you straight away if my payment is late.
