The new ownership is amazing, fair, and friendly! To be fair I never knew anything about the previous management... What I do know is that, this will be the first and last place I shop and pawn at! The man that works there is really considerate of his customers and their needs. I have 2 guitars in the pawn that have been there almost 2 months... I was 2 weeks or so late on my payment, and he still allowed me to pay the monthly payment, and the best part is, he waived the late fee on my items! If you're looking for a large selection, reasonably priced, then this is the only shop that carries great value while the customer will always leave confident that he/she received a great bargain! If you need some extra cash until payday, south side gives the higher end of the appraised value. I can honestly say, they can't be beat! Thank you south side gold & pawn!

Purchased an item that had a tag on it that said 14k. We had 2 jewlers look at it on the same day we purchased it, and it was not real. When we went back They would not even give us store credit. We gave them an opportunity to make this right, and we never heard from them. while we were there someone came in to sell a ring, he bought it for 45.00, We offered to buy, and he wouldn't because he thought it was a real diamond. Sellers and buyers beware. Do not do business with this place.

I take all my jewelry to them to get "appraised " and sold. The man there is great. They also have a great selection and give the most money around!!!
