Update** The Campbell lane branch manager Paul was great when my husband went into the branch yesterday. I am not blaming any staff, I believe this is a system issue. All staff has been very kind but I am not holding my breath with this potential system issue. Paul and Scott the loan manager have both reached out and have been great and I am very thankful for their help and responsiveness. This gives me a lot of my confidence in this credit union, back to what it was when I first became a member. I had great things to say about the loan services. They were very helpful and informative but in the last year myself and my husband have been told that we are up to date on our loan payment for that month when we are at any of the branches making that month's payment but a couple weeks later we will get a call saying that we still owe on loans. This has ravaged our credit score once and we are diligently asking every month to make sure it doesn't happen again. Once again after going inside the Campbell lane branch to make sure everything was paid correctly because I had gotten a call again, I get another call a week later saying I still owe $50 because the late fee wasn't paid. Even though I specifically asked if I was caught up until feb. I get charged the late fee which I understand but how can you tell me that I am caught up on and I have just given you hundreds of dollars but you miss $50 in late fees but that is somehow my fault? I will be recording my interactions at all branches while I am a customer there because I am over being told one thing and that not being the case.

We are new to Bowling Green and Service One and so happy to share that our experience has been top-notch , 5 stars, hands down. Within a week we have become members and were able to refinance all of our loans from our other bank and much better rates. We were given welcome letters and emailed by Elisabeth Lindsey to welcome us and offer assistance. We worked with Carol on our loans and she was a blessing the whole way through with a great sense of humor, kind, Friendly and patient. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. I had by far my worse customer experience at service one since being an account holder. So bad that I just decided to close my account and look elsewhere. My and my girlfriend were trying to get a loan to consolidate some of our credit card debt. Everything was running rather smoothly until Carol Woosley decided to ignore 4 emails and a missed call. It took me driving down from Louisville and calling Miss Woosley again before I ever heard anything back from her. To top the cake once I did drive down from Louisville and visited the campus location Angela Crabtree was not anymore more helpful and just outright rude. She was more helpful in helping me close my account and withdraw my loan application instead of helping me to figure out what the hold-up was. I would expect customer service like this from a big bank and that’s exactly what my girlfriend and I were trying to avoid. It’s extremely sad to see that this is where Service One has fallen to.
Mr. Lindsey, We are sorry that your emails and phone call were unanswered by our team member; it was the day after a tornado hit our town, resulting in no internet access, no phone line access, nor ability to respond to emails to help you, unfortunately. Once our communication accesses came back to us, we were in the process of responding to you when you luckily came into a branch. Ms. Crabtree did offer to assist with the loan, however, both parties needed to be present to complete the request. We are sorry that you chose to close your account and pull the loan request but you are welcome to return to us as a member in the future. I have always appreciated SOCU but most recently they have been a calm in the storm of indifference displayed by big banks. Like many of us— I’ve had repeated fraudulent charges and the people at the credit union were patient and professional in helping me sort through the items and fix the problems Cannot say that for the people at CHASE. They push everything back on the customer and could not care less. But service one is great !

I've been banking for over 40 years in Bowling Green and recently applied for a RV loan and decided to try Service One Credit Union. The process and my loan officer, Carol, was absolutely seamless and amazing. Customer service was outstanding! I highly recommend Service One!

I’m leaving this banking and in the process of moving to a new bank!!! When I first got my account with SOCU they were amazing!!! But apparently they have changed systems and you now get charged on the “swipe” so if you wake up and see something hit your account overnight and go deposit cash to cover it, it doesn’t matter they are going to charge you anyway even if it’s still pending!!!! Most banks will give you 24 hours they don’t do that!!!

I withdrew all my money and closed my account several years ago because I moved. Then they slapped a $6 service fee charge on it after the fact and never told me about it. They sent me to collections over a $6 hidden fee!!! I tried to dispute it but they won't relent. Terrible bank and ethics. If they would intentionally damage someone's credit over a bogus $6 fee then that tells you all you need to know about how much they care for their members. Look anywhere else for your banking needs.

Awful. The manager on Wednesday told me to come back on Saturday to get assistance with my mother's account, as she is deceased. He said the manager would be prepared to assist me. He lied. She was not prepared as he only notified her about me coming up via an email she did not read. In regard to the account she said to call during the week to talk to the previous manager as this was not her branch and in regard to savings bonds, I needed to go to US Bank or do it online maybe. Unprofessional. I waited 30 minutes for this statement. Consider another Credit Union because they do not care.

Taking my banking elsewhere. IMO SOCU is doing exactly what Wells Fargo did, they stack up any charges you have with your card, making the largest charge go through first so they can charge overdraft charges on everything else. At best, this is bad business practice, at worst it is a cash grab on everyone who has to live paycheck to paycheck. Edit: Thanks for the reply, but this isn't about an overdraft, this is about the policy in place that will charge OD fees based on total transaction price vs total account balance. Example: an account is overdrawn by $10, but because the total of all transaction clears on the same day, the account holder gets charged OD fees on all transactions. That changes what should be one overdraft fee into many, in my case it was seven or more, on mutiple occasions. That isn't accounting, it's an algorithm designed to maximize overdraft fees, and the people it hurts the most are poor people and college students. I do thank you for taking the time to call me and talk it over, I am in the process of changing to online banking where OD fees have been eliminated.

The app shows pending transactions and your balances. It is also helpful to set up alerts to notify you if funds go below a certain amount. I have been using this financial institution for over 15 years and have never once had a problem. The staff is sooooo nice, polite, and helpful. They have great rates on loans. There are no secret fees or charges that will surprise you, plus it's not a bank-it's a non-profit organization which makes me feel more comfortable about the whole banking process. You can also do everything online which is very convenient and they are "green", which I love anything that helps the environment. They know me by name when I come in, kind of like a family atmosphere. I LOVE MY CREDIT UNION!!!
