    The merger with Schools First started off rough & the transition with payments was wonky but I have had great service each time I have gone into the branch. Their rates on auto loans are some of the lowest in the region.

    I have been banking here for the last two and a half years. Since the merger, I have had a few frustrating experiences. Especially when the merger first happened (whole other story) The tellers have all been kind and I don’t blame them for any of these issues, however, the management of this branch is very poor. I recently had fraud on my business account. The bank flagged it, shut off my card. The call center is always backed up so I decided to go in to handle this issue in person. I was told it would be half an hour before I could talk to anyone. I didn’t have that kind of time on my lunch break. Not only that, there were security all over the building. When I asked what was going on, their response was, “oh that’s just security doing some checks.” What does that mean? I have about had it with this bank.

    I just love this bank, I’m 21 and I’ve been with them since I was 16 super awesome and simple. Great customer service too

    Schools was awesome until the merger with Schools First. It is a horrible nightmare that continues months after the merger. We had to get all new account numbers and all our old statements disappeared so it was ridiculously hard to change our auto pays. They said our old account number would still work through April, but we had late charges when that wasn't true, and it failed in February. Hours to switch auto pays and they didn't go through and have to be checked every month. We have had to argue with our accounts to not get late fees from them after Schools First payments didn't go through automatically numerous times and have to watch all our bills to make sure they are paid. We have gone back to writing checks and we also have to make sure the checks go through on time!!! The website is confusing and is hard to find out our statement amount on their credit card. They want you to only pay the minimum or the balance, I guess to rake you. We can't link another banks account to automatically pay the statement amount, and can only link our savings account which we don't want to do. We signed up for the fraud alerts but they don't let us know about charges in real time like all our other cards do and the old schools card did, so it is not worth much. We are moving to a new bank soon because they still haven't got it together after months. We tried to give them a chance but they are such a disappointment. Also our IRA didn't pay much compared to our other ones so we are moving it.

    FIVE STAR RATING! I give it 10+ I worked at a local savings and loan bank for a long time and switched to Schools. I opened several accounts at the Placerville office within 15 minutes! The other bank would have taken over an hour! I am amazed on how quick and efficient the tellers are, l can see that all the employees are happy and enjoy what they are doing, always presenting excellent customer service with the utmost confidence and proud to be the Best!     After having a very unsettling experience with my previous bank, U.S bank. I decided to give Schools Credit union a try. The banker Jenny that helped us was very nice handled all my questions and concerns professionally and with great care. Switching banks is usually a pain and something most people dread having to do. I was very satisfied with how fast and smooth it all went and being able to get everything switched to the way I needed it the first time. I have heard many great things so I decided to give it a go. I highly recommended them. And will gladly be choosing them for all financial needs moving forward! It's nice to know we still have great organizations in this small community that we can all rely on! Thank you Schools for going above and beyond to satisfy customers needs!

    So.. the only reason I’m giving this one star is because I went in and someone tried to help me with my issue at least. (Amanda or something ) idk. BUT I can’t even link my bank to my PayPal..... MY JOB RELIES on PayPal in order for me to get paid ...... I sell clothing online which NEEDS to use PayPal. But oh guess what I can’t even use it so I have 150$ sitting in my PayPal account .... and it said just do two small deposits give us 2 business days and that will link ur bank to PayPal. But guess what it didn’t work. I even asked if that’s what I had to do and schools said yes. So here I am mad and annoyed switching to golden 1

    I have been with this bank since 1989, and i have never had so much trouble going on line or getting someone to help my bills are late because of this bank. im really thinking of closing my account and moving my IRA. I didnt want but you guys leave me no choice

    Tellers very disinterested. This branch is not a good representation of Schools what-so-ever. I originally signed up with the Madison Avenue branch which was a good experience. Prior to going into the branch today, I spoke with the customer service line (I think the woman's name was Angela) and had Amazing customer service. I was directed to go into the branch to get a new card. Customer service rep stated that the branch would issue me a new card and pin it, test it, etc. Once I arrived at the branch, the energy was not what I expected. Nicole Sp...... (her last name was difficult to remember an pronoince) was the teller that assisted me. From the start she seemed very disinterested. She did not smile once. She did not greet me. She did not look away when I was pinning my card - which I feel is disrespectful. She loterally was looking at the pinpad while I set my pin for my card. Then once she brought me the card I asked about an embossed card as I have had trouble on the past with the printed cards. She had no desire to assist but rather just told me "that's what you get when you come in." I then asked how I can get one and she looked irritated and stated that is what the branch gives when a customer comes in. At this point I am obviously trying to see how I go about getting an embossed card. I take a long look at her name tag and when she noticed this decided to lean on the desk and tell me "they should have told you that over the phone that you needed to order it and wait 7 days." I then asked if she could order it and she stayed "no" with no further direction. A good employee would have given me direction on how I could go about getting what I need (solutions) rather than stating all obstacles with no solutions. Worst part is she made me feel like I was annoying her and wasting her time. This was a terrible experience and will not be doing businiess with this branch. Who hired these type of individuals?
