    I've been a member of safe my entire adult life and I'm finally fed up with this bank! ATM is always unavailable or under maintenance. Furthermore, the ATM needs to be moved from the street and setup as a drive up ATM for various safety reasons.

    Terrible customer service! Safe Federal does not let you know what comes with your account when you join with them. I called in to speak with a representative today because I have been unable to send money to someone being that my transaction kept declining. I first tried to use my card to put a downpayment on a car and assumed it declined due to the system being down for maintenance over the weekend. I had to borrow it since my card kept declining and have been trying to pay it back since Friday. The rep explained that the transaction declined because it was over the daily limit and that my transactions were flagged for fraud after trying to continuously get the transaction to go through. She then advised me that she could lift the fraud alert and the daily limit only for today. I have to use my account more than just today so I asked what needs to be done in order to get the fraud issue taken care of other than just for today. The rep told me she didn’t know. The more that I tried to get an understanding on how my account works she said would start to get frustrated and talk over me and cut me off which in return caused me to get frustrated. She also started telling me their hours of operations which had nothing to do with what I was trying to have resolved. I had to explain that she would not talk to me in a condescending way as if I was not a customer with them expecially being that I work in the customer service field. When it came down to setting my credit limit for the day I wanted to set it higher than the amount that I was about to transfer incase I needed to pay for anything else today and she told me that I really only had about the amount I was requesting so she could only set it for the amount I wanted to transfer. I have money in my savings as well which means my balance was higher than what was in my checking. Now here I am again needing to use the money in my account and my transactions are back declining and it’s small transactions at that. I work for my money and should have access to my funds whenever I need them. I would not recommend banking with them and will be finding a new bank to join tomorrow.

    When I was trying to make my car payment at the drive-thru the teller asked for my driver's license. I asked if this was something new they started. She told me she would explain once she saw my DL. She told me that I had the wrong date on the check (Aug 1 instead of July 31). She sent the check back to me and told me to change the date and initial it. I did as she instructed and then she told me she can't read my initials. I told her I would just write a new check and make the payment later. This kind of teller makes me want to change banks. Treating customers like they are criminals is not good for business.

    I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO EMBARRASSED IN MY LIFE !!!! Today after having trouble gaining access to my online account, I went to this location for assistance. I brought my iPad Pro with me to ensure I would be able to gain access while at the bank. As I am walking into the bank the metal detector alarms and I am asked to step back and place my keys and phone in a designated spot. I am then asked to step back again. The alarm sounds again. The clerk then speaks through the loud speaker in the booth and says " You have something metal on you." I start taking my watch off . She said, "No, it wouldn't be your watch." I explained I have a tablet in my back pack and I needed help with my online account. Through the loud speaker, she asked for my name. I gave it to her. She said you dont have an account here. I told her I do. At this time, I am standing in a locked box in which I can't go in or out of being asked all kinds of questions. She then ask to see my debit card for the bank. I showed it to her and finally, I get to enter the bank. Once, I gained access. I had to wait on someone to help me. Ashley Gee, the bank manager came out to help. When I sat down in her office, I expressed how humiliated I was and there has to be a better way to verify customers. I told her how I felt as if I was being g treated as a criminal and I only came to get help with my online account. I explained I live 5 minutes from this bank and I shouldn't have to go to Sandhills to be treated with respect when I come to the bank. She was so nonchalant in my concerns about how I was treated and explained it was for safety reasons. I totally get that. However, what I went through was overkill especially after, I explained I had a tablet in my bag to get online help. I was so infuriated, I closed my account with them. No apology or anything. She is a horrible bank manager doesn't know how to empathize with customers. Never will I bank with them again. If I could I would give them zero stars.

    Came to make a cash deposit and ATM failed. Kept my card and deposit. Called after hours and no one available to add it me with trouble shooting ATM. I hated to leave in case atm decides to return card and cash without me here and someone walks up and take my cash. I'm very angry with safe federal credit union for not having an after hour trouble shooting ATM team to assist me.

    I went there Friday afternoon around 12 o’clock and I had to wait a whole hour to tries to get to the join the bank. The bank in member service name JANE was very rude and lack basic customer service skills. While she was on the phone giggling for 30 mins while she had no customer. Will never return here. You guys need to improve on customer service skills it’s no need for me to wait if you are free. A customer even left because they waited so long. Beyond Ridiculous SAFE FEDERAL

    If you don’t have direct deposit they will hold your check that you deposit for 10 days!! And I’m not talking someone’s personal check....I’m talking a business check! It makes wanting to do business with them very, very difficult and I will be looking elsewhere to deposit my checks because by the time I get access to my funds it’s almot time for another paycheck. Not how you treat customers you want to do business with you.
