Before leaving to go abroad for 4 months I created a Private Mail Box at a UPS store where my mail could be delivered and forwarded to me, and then I changed the address on all of my bank accounts including my Regions accounts. A week later after arriving in Frankfort, I received an email telling me that I had to verify my address with a mortgage statement or utility bill. I explained I couldn't do that as I was out of the country and I had changed the address using my secure password AND a two step verification to log on to my account. What also was bewildering was how I was supposed to show a utility bill or mortgage statement for a PMB since people don't live in private mail boxes! Generally they are too small to live in ( 4" x 6" x 12"). The person in the email (Kristina Dill) said she was the branch manager and my account would be closed in 30 days if it wasn't done. A month later I receive an email from Fiserv which handles bill pay for the bank telling me that I owe them money because the bank has suspended any payments on all of my regions accounts. I had to pay them using my credit card over the phone. None of my regular scheduled and important bill payments were being paid even though there was money in the accounts. I went online and saw that everything is frozen on all my accounts. No Bill Pay, no internal or external transfers, etc. I used the message app to ask why and was told my account was completely blocked by a branch and I would have to go in to the branch for help. My accounts were frozen to the point I couldn't even see which bills are supposed to be paid and their addresses so that I could at least pay them from another bank account. I'm receiving notices that my bill pay checks are bouncing because the accounts are frozen or suspended. Creditors are getting returned check fees. What a mess! I have had my Regions accounts for 7 years and they do this to me. I will need now to convert all my bill pay payments to another bank which will take some time. All this while I'm out of the country. I wish I had never opened an account with Regions. Unhelpful in the extreme, a lack of common sense and no help from the branch.
We're sorry to hear of this situation and would like to further investigate! Our Electronic Banking team would be the best to speak with about any Bill Pay related issues and can be reached by calling 800-472-2265. -Tyler

Rachel is an absolutely awesome employee. I've been with them over 10 years and they're such a great Bank. & Rachel is a breath of fresh air. We solved all my problems and made it a not so painful experience like it usually is at a bank.

Love the people in this bank -- they are awesome! BUT I extremely frustrated by the fact that there seems to be no way to reach a human being on the phone! They only have an automated system and no way to talk to an actual person. Frustrating!
