I came into this pawnshop because my husband is a very nice person and feels bad for homeless people and invited one of them into our residence to take a shower and we fed him a few times. He then would not leave us alone and kept on coming over and stocking our house asking for money that we don’t have. We called the cops and filed a report. They recommended that if I am afraid for my life, to get a gun to protect myself. I went to the pawnshop because I was told that they had a shotgun. Explained what happened and I didn’t have the correct documents so my husband and I went back in to have him buy it and they refused service us. This is the worst experience of my life and PONDERS in Lakewood WA, if anything happens to me, I hold YOU completely responsible. 1st for your lack of sympathy and 2nd my 2nd amendment rights have been violated, I’m just SCARED for my life. Terrible people.
Hello Danielle, I just reviewed our cameras and spoke to the employee that was helping you. My employees were 100% correct in the way they handled the situation. First of all, you came in without proper paperwork- an out of state ID and a rental lease. The first employee that was helping you was correct - A lease does not work as government issued. You got angry that this federal rule was being enforced by our shop and stormed out. Second, you came back in and were clearly agitated. We WILL NOT sell a firearm to ANYONE as agitated as you were in my store. The fact that your husband had to tell to to calm down 3 different times clearly shows an elevated level of agitation. Third, you tried to get your husband to buy the firearm. We will not sell a firearm to a spouse so that they can, in turn, give it to the agitated partner. We will NEVER put our safety, our FFL, or our reputation on the line in order to make a couple dollars on a gun sale. I am sorry that you are dealing with whatever it is at your home. But, we can not release a firearm to ANYONE that was as worked up as you were. I hope you are able to understand this and understand why we must follow city, state, and federal laws. This place is awesome! It's been a hard few month's for me and I had to loan all of my stuff to them to make ends meet. Luckily I am slowly getting back on my feet and I can pay to get all my stuff back! They have a very reasonable time span to allow you to pay off your loan. Everyone is very nice and sweet here I've never had any problems. They also have a really wide selection of electronics ,guns, instruments every thing honestly. I will definitely come back here in the future!!
