I will keep going back. This was my second time using Platinum Financial to broker my home buying. The first time I worked with Susan and had a great experience, leading me to go back. This last time I worked with Peter. Peter and Susan know exactly what it takes to be successful. Anyone that has been looking to buy a home this last year can attest that it is a unique time featuring some challenges. Home inventory shortages, low interest rates, communication difficulties (b/c of Covid restrictions) can set the environment for some frustrations. Peter understands the difficulties of the current times and has the knowledge, resources, and team to still tailor a financial package that is best suited for you. Thank you Peter and Team!

Me and my wife wanted to take advantage of the great rates available in the market to refinance our mortgage, and so after asking around and getting a lot of positive feedback for Platinum we decided to go for it. Right from the get go Peter was super friendly and very helpful. He helped us lock a great rate and worked with us through every step along the way. He definitely made it an easy experience, so we highly recommend Peter and team!

I just finished working with Peter at Platinum Financial. This is my first time working with him and his business for buying my second house. Let me tell you what, this has been an adventure and a half trying to purchase this second home. Peter and his team, were with me through every step and every hiccup as went through this purchase. I was extremely impressed with how Peter and his team worked diligently through the process and were constantly in communication with me. I work as a school teacher and I pride myself in trying to have a constant ability to communicate with students/teachers. Peter definitely beat me to the email punch every single time. At times I wanted to almost make it a game who can email the quickest and he beat me every time. This is truly the reason for me wanting to continue with Peter and his team for the future. I highly recommend Peter and his team. You want someone to fight for you in the biggest investment you are going to have in your entire life, then Peter and his team are the ones you need to support you.

My husband and I have used Peter and Susan for several loans. They have always been extremely helpful and always find the best possible deal for us. We cannot recommend them highly enough! I don’t believe that I know anyone that works harder for the customers than they do no obstacle is too big for them. They truly care about the people that they work for and doing their very best for them. So thankful that we found them so many years ago!

When we bought our forever home about 10 years ago, Peter and Susan at Platinum Financial made our dreams a reality by finding us the best financing available. Now, 10 years later, they are doing the same for our real estate investment needs. They are amazing people! We even took our 12 & 14 year old boys with us to our recent appointment with Peter and they both walked out so inspired about real estate and financing! Peter & Susan are the best!

Susan at Platinum Financial needs to take a chill pill and learn how to better communicate. She became very rude and unsupportive during the process of seeing how much of a mortgage my wife and I could qualify for. It started out easy enough during their initial call discussing what we have been making recently and what I’ll be making soon as I was recently hired into a much higher paying position so will be getting a jump in pay. After sending them all the paperwork, Susan called back two days later saying that the reality of what she sees is not what we told her. What she should have said is, “though your income is showing one thing now it isn’t reflected in your tax filings and that could cause some issues.” We are first time homebuyers so it’s not like we know the ins and outs of the whole process. When going over some of her concerns she became very accusatory and then would be silent when I asked questions or brought up ideas. Like for instance, Susan brought up that my offer letter mentioned a trial or probationary period and that the loan officer wouldn’t be able to accept that income until after trial period was over. I mentioned how that seems pretty normal to have a trial period with any company you first join. But if that’s the case then, “okay.” She then got riled up that I was somehow challenging her on how things are to be done and she argued with me saying that most companies don’t have probationary periods. I for one wasn’t challenging what would or not be needed. I just was making a statement from my experience. Somewhere in there she mentioned that to move forward she would need a verification letter from employer to say there isn’t any probation period or that the likelihood of me remaining at the company would be 100%. I said if that’s what we needed to do, then I’d see what I could get. At one point I asked her if she was still wanting to work with us because with her silence, tone and unsupportive attitude I could sense something was off and she was no longer interested. Instead of talking strategy she just shut down. At one point I mentioned that we have someone that would co-sign with us if that would help and then there was complete silence. I waited a few moments and asked if she was there and she retorted that she was thinking. Then went right back to silence. I’ve been in customer service before and also own my own business, but you ask anyone and they will agree how wrong it was for Susan to talk like that and be so dismissive especially when talking to prospective first time homebuyers. After running a credit report and receiving a ton of personal information about said client, you don’t call up being accusatory towards your client and then give them the silent treatment when they are trying to understand the process, communicate and talk about other solutions. She then had the gall to tell me that she doesn’t think she can work with us and hung up the phone. I don’t know if she’s overworked or COVID-19 has made things difficult for her and their business but either way it’s unfortunate they couldn’t have handled and communicated this situation better. My wife and I are eventually going to be buying rentals and other property and they will obviously not be getting our business. I’d suggest looking elsewhere. She mentioned at one point how they have been busy and have been dealing with a ton of numbers so maybe we just weren’t worth it because our situation is a bit more unusual or more complicated. I can accept that we may need to wait a bit longer with the new position I’m starting or deal with some other reality of our situation (FYI, this is a core salaried position at a reputable incorporated company). However what’s not acceptable is how rude and dismissive Susan got when communicating with us. Also FYI, not two days later did we get a loan approved and closed on a house. Susan doesn’t know what she was talking about because these two others said there was absolutely no reason the offer letter wouldn’t stand. Also these other companies didn’t charge $30. Shameful.
