Continental Subaru will not honor any discount which they are supposed to and will do their best to give you highest price for the subSub you want to buy. They will give you a ridiculous price for the car you want to trade in which you will feel that is an insulting. This company is not serious of selling you a car but trying to rip you off. I give two thumbs up for Subaru cars but I give two thumbs down for continental Subaru.

My moms has a Subaru Forster and the oil change was always done at Continental Subaru since day one. I called and made a service appointment last time in September 2015 for my mom to get a regular oil change (non synthetic) but the bill came up was $60. I was shocked when I see the bill and call the service department right away questioning the price, I have done so many oil change before at the dealership and some other places but this is the first time ever see a $60 regular oil change bill, nothing else was done. I questioned them if they intentionally raise up the price because they see a woman who is a non native English speaker and know little about cars. Every other shops in town only charge between $35-$45 for regular oil change. I told the service department that was so disappointed and I will never bring the car over for oil change because they are not honestly in doing business, no matter how good a Subaru car is. It only cost about $75 for my Toyota to get a oil change at Toyota dealer which use synthetic that only require to change every once a year. I do not recommend anyone to Continental Subaru unless you need to buy a Subaru cars.
Recent Subaru vehicles do require synthetic oil as specified for your vehicle. We only charge $59.95. Maybe the question to ask is why Toyota charges so much?

I recently bought a new Subaru Impreza from Continental Subaru in Anchorage. Overall the experience was good and the salesman, Tony, was very helpful. The car was on order, and he was good at keeping me updated on when it was going to arrive in state and answering my questions throughout the test drive and purchasing process. As is the norm with Subs in Alaska, the price wasn't fantastic, but after doing quite a bit of price comparison between buying in Anchorage versus buying in WA/ID and shipping the car up buying in Anchorage was only slight more expensive and much more convenient. The only thing that irks me in hindsight is, after I had finalized the purchase of the car and we were doing the final walkaround, I discovered the car did not have a block heater installed. Now, I fully realize that I should have noticed this before but it seriously never crossed my mind that they would possibly be selling a Subaru in Alaska that did not already include a block heater. It was pretty annoying having to take the car in again and pay an additional $288 for something that should have been included to begin with. I'm only in week two with my new car, but so far it's been a good 'first new car' buying experience. My only comment to anyone considering buying here is to be insistent in declining all the add-ons (I admit it, I got hosed into purchasing the undercoat which, upon further research, was not worth it) and to make sure that 'standard' winter components like a block heater are included. Otherwise, you'll end up paying for them later.

I'm pretty happy with Subaru service. My Legacy came in for service recently and their full check found a nail in my tire before I even knew I had a problem. It's a small deal but to know they did a full safety check looking at the brakes, battery, wipers, etc. Thanks guys! I appreciate it.

I am a 71 year old Elder, Retired for 20 years, 4 healthy pensions. I live with my 3 Sons. They pay all bills and rent. I have 3,500 per month tax free and I have no BILLS of any type. My CREDIT RATING was normal, Average, when I went into this place 5 hours later, I was denied the right to buy a car w/ 500 dollar a month payments. I have never been insulted or humiliated so much like this by anyone. The fact I proved my income, was not good enough. SHOP AROUND, there are much better places to purchase a vehicle than Continental Subaru.
It's important to note, Continental Auto Group is not a lender. We shop all the banks and let them compete for your business. Credit determinations are soley decided by the lending institutions and are not influenced by our desire to sell you a vehicle. These are highly automated processes and individuals with personal credit situations may have different results working directly with financial institutions they already do business with.

Great service. Never felt obligated to buy it pressured. Great staff as well. Would purchase here again.

My scheduled oil change was due in a few days so I checked my oil prior to taking it in. While checking my oil I noticed it was over serviced, I figured maybe I was reading it wrong because it' s a new vehicle… i figured there is no way my brand new car was over serviced. I took the car in for the oil change and checked the oil level days later. Once again it was over serviced by a lot! I called the dealership and spoke to the service section; I was told that the oil is supposed to be over serviced because of the location of the filter. I decided to check the manual and I could not locate anything about the engine requiring over serviced oil. The manual shows the low/high marks just like any other engine i ever serviced. I scheduled an appointment and it was in-fact over serviced by a 1/2 quart! I was helped and my oil was drained to the correct level and the engine was inspected as requested; It was also documented for future reference and I was thankful for that. I was disappointed in the person that gave me the wrong information. What if i was the type of person that just drove my vehicle and depended on the dealership to take care of me?

Update: No, I purchased the car on the phone! I did not make out on the deal! You reply is a joke! I recapped the entire purchase in an email and you agreed, then did not want to honor the deal! I think a change in management is a great place to start! Sales guy was great! He picked me up from airport, bought lunch, and drove me to dealership...friendly guy! If he was the only one I dealt with this would have been a 5 star rating. Unfortunately, management was horrific! I had to bring up old emails saying what we agreed upon and still they did not want to honor their word. After nagging them for over an hour, they finally said they would do what they said (i.e, add a car alarm and other assessories). This meant that I had to make another trip to Anchorage, from Homer, and this was at my expense! ...absolutely no compensation or appreciation! I do love my legacy, but would seriously reconsider dealing with Continental Subaru!
Yes, you bought your car through the internet sales department in December 2013 during the Autostart or Snow Tire sale. Apparently some cross-communication caused confusion during the wrap up left everyone a little frazzled. To be fair, the car was purchased under invoice with added accessories and some travel compensation on the original deal and a $250 Subaru Share The Love contribution. You made out pretty good on that. We made some communication improvements in Internet Sales to avoid future errors.

Stan was really nice. We went in wanting an Outback but found the Crosstrek was more what we were looking for. We ended up walking out with a pretty nice deal and discounts.
The Crosstrek is a favorite with a lot of folks. We hope you enjoy yours!
