hi everyone looking at the reviews, here is a very articulate review for you if your looking to see if ths lender is right for you. I was in a car accident a few months back went to a dealership that was absolutely amazing , they got me a great loan and financing with this company back in September. well everything was fie until February that my son of special needs required special attention due to a head injury he had, i moved out of Oregon to California to be with family. i had called them to let them know of my situation, Shareen i believe is the main representative I had spoken with she said" with the payment of 6 months the month of March can be a skip month, she said she had taken notes on my account but When i spoke with nick he said the month of march would have been the 6th, if you do the math from sept to march that is the sixth month, not only did i explain that i had just gotten a new job and wouldn't get paid till the 29th of this month and that i would make a full payment of march April and the following month, they were very rude and denied to help in any way. they do not abide the companies values. I have worked in collections and financial institutions. I have financed through Toyota and have never been treated with such mannerism especially after explaining my situation. being one month behind. they could not even extend the time period either pay or we cant help you at all. i really hope corporate sees this.
Hello Keke: Without having an account name to review the specifics, I can only respond to what I am reading. These types of loans are high risk for the company, but we do try and work with the customers as much as we can when situations arise. We keep in contact with the customer when their account is delinquent by email and phone and regular mail. The company's policy is to allow one interest only payment after the customer has made 3 full months of payments when the loan is new. The next option is to allow a skip payment with a small fee once the new customer has made 6 full payments to show good faith. I understand you had a situation that made your payments more difficult to make, but we cannot allow a customer to keep the vehicle if they are a couple payments behind. Our policy is to retrieve the vehicle and then the customer is always given a chance to pay the account current at that point. We have our policy in place to keep if fair across the board for all of our customers. Should you have more questions about this, you are more than welcome to call and we can go over your account. PAC west credit is beyond amazing. It was hard for me to get approved for a vehicle when I needed one. I went through a lot. When I came across pac west they approved me immediately especially with my low credit score and gave me the amount I wanted to pay monthly on my car. Hands down the best! 😊 been with them for about a year now and haven’t had any issues. Spoke with someone over the phone twice before Covid and never had to wait for a long time for someone to pick up. Never had an issue with paying online either. I would recommend pac west to anyone!

I was able to get my first car through pacwest with no credit and a high interest rate (my problem because I didn't technically have a credit score) nonetheless they have been a fantastic company to work with and they really stand by what they say. They will help you in hard times. Can't wait to get my loan paid off and continue to work with these folks.

Pacwest Credit has been fantastic to work with! My loan is now paid off with them, but every time I called, someone always answered the phone immediately and they were always very pleasant to work with. I recently required additional records from them for a court matter, and Shandarra has gone above and beyond, despite no longer having an active contact with them. It is not a stretch to say that she has given me the best customer service I have ever experienced. I highly recommend this company!

If i could give 0 stars i would. Pacwest emailed me and called me last week on a Friday after 4pm telling me that my coverage on my car had been cancelled. It was not cancelled, i had to set up coverage with another company while i was at work to make sure i was covered. I called them to discuss this and that told me i should have just waited until Monday to deal with it and drive around uninsured for the entire weekend. Are you kidding me? Not to mention the manager was incredibly rude and told me that it was my problem. Don’t tell people their insurance is cancelled if it’s not, and then not even take responsibility for Doing that. How unprofessional can you be?
I am sorry to hear you had this experience. We try to make sure all of our customers have full coverage insurance at all times. Sometimes we get notices of a customers insurance coverage ending before we get notice from the new insurance company that the customer has switched to. If that happens, then we have to email and call the customer to get proof of insurance. As for your call experience, we will look into that and will do our best to provide our customers with better customer service in the future.

I had my payments automatically taken out each month until one month this woman called me to tell me my payment was late. She was snarky and condescending. I didn't think it could be late since I had automatic payments in place. Turns out they got a new computer system and lost my payment information and missed taking out the payment. I had to ask that the late fee be waived since it was their fault. Bad enough they lost my info, and worse that they were rude when they called. They never apologized for the mistake, or being rude.
I am sorry to hear this Melanie. We did get a new payment system program with a third party company. Unfortunately, their process erased all of our customers cards that were stored in our system. We set up our new system to email customers about their payment coming due and we called customers to get them set up again. If we did not get a call back until after a late fee was assessed, we removed the late fee at the time of contact with our customers. Unfortunately, the new system set up was out of our control and we tried to work with customers as best as we could to get them back on track with auto pay and also to store their card on file to make payments easier when they called in. As for your call experience, I am sorry that you felt this way. We will assess the issue and do our best to provide our customers with a better experience in the future.

My husband's hours have been cut drastically due to covid. We are juggling with all our bills, the onmy company that absolutely refuses to work with us is pac-west. We are 1 payment behind and they are sending us letters stating they are picking up the vehicle and plan on auctioning it off! We have begged for them to work with us but they have told us several times they are not working with anyone through the pandemic
Hello Naidine. We do have Covid skip payment options if the customer can provide us with proof that they were laid off or their hours were reduced due to Covid. As long as your husband can provide that document to PacWest Credit from his HR department, we would be more than happy to assist with a skip payment. We do require that customers keep in contact with our company in order to utilize the skip payment. We cannot allow customers to get severely behind (30 days) when trying to utilize our skip payments. They do no need to keep in touch. I hope this helps answer your question.

HORRIBLE. I WAS SO THANKFUL FOR THEIR HELP. NOW I KNOW WHY THEY DID IT. I WAS LOCKED OUT OF THE ONLINE PORTAL AND DENIED THE ABILITY TO PAY! I WAS DENIED ABILITY TO SPEAK OR WORK WITH ANYONE ELSE! I WAS LIED TO! Im a Disabled Vet and single father. When i got the Car Loan I was just started separating with my wife of 4yrs and just started my own tattoo shop. In close to a year i had NEVER been late NEVER short. I ended up having to close my shop from stress and divorce, living now just off my disability. I attempted to get them to work with me. 1st they said i qualified for a $25 skip payment. Just skips the months pay. My girlfriend was gone with my card and said i would call back that afternoon. Ive got serious health concerns, just had surgery the 1st. I forgot that day. Called back when i got an email saying i never made any arrangements apologized and was ready to pay. All of a sudden im no longer open to this option. (I also want to point out I have not drove or been able to drive since October 2019. Medically suspended) but I've kept paying due to I was going to give it to my girlfriend as her next birthday gift. So other then when i do the tire rotation and oil change it just sits.) The last time I was told i could pay $127 for the interest payment for December but i needed to pay it by the 27th of January. I said i could do that and then have January's payment by February 3rd and February would be paid by the 27th when due. When i called the 27th SHANDARA treated me with utter disrespect when i said i was about to process payment online. She then said i could only have that deal if made over the phone. I said ok ill pay over the phone. She then said well i can't even do that option anymore. Today i got to wake up finding out my car was being repossessed. Id also like to add that in the time between I made Multiple requests to talk to the manager or ANY OTHER person. Which NEVER happened. I tried emailing numerous times calling different times. But the SAME PERSON ANSWERED EVERY TIME AND NEVER LET ME TALK TO ANYONE ELSE. OH AND I LIVE ALMOST 2 HRS SOUTH ONE DIRECTION FROM THE ONLY LOCATION THEY HAVE!!!!!
Hello Dustin. It sounds like you were a few payments behind and they overlapped. Our policy to allow a skip payment or interest only payment is the customer has to be in contact with us to pay within their 10-day grace period. If the customer does not contact us within their 10-day grace period, we cannot accept an interest only or skip payment. You are correct that we cannot accept those type of payments online because they have to be manually adjusted in our system by an employee at the time of payment. I completely understand that you have a lot of health issues and those can be cumbersome. Please know that we do try to work with our customers as best we can but we also cannot allow customers to be several payments behind. Our company policy will only allow for us to do so much and those policies were created to keep things fair and equal across the board for all of our customers. We are sorry to hear about your over-the-phone experience and we will look into that. We will continue to strive to give our customers an outstanding connection every time. Worst ever yes my fault for getting behind. 2 payments 2... i was headed to open a local bank because mine isnt local thats when the repo guy was there. I called pacwest i told them i have the money to make both payments they said you also have 355 repo fee well thats funny repo guy says 200 they said no 355. Fine ill pay that as well. They would not except payment unless it was full remaining balance that it was my fault i got behind. Yes it was but I had the money in my hand. Nope it doesnt matter. Like knowone has bad times.
I am sorry to hear that. Our company policy when a customer is 30 days behind with their payment is we have to assign the vehicle to repo unless we have talked to the customer. It sounds like you were two payments behind. We try to give our customers several opportunities to make their payment before we assign their vehicle. We do this by calling them, emailing them and sending several letters by mail. If the customer does not keep their agreement, then we have to assign the vehicle to repo. Once the vehicle is picked up by the towing company, we then have to proceed with the process of getting the towing fees and the past due payments from the customer. If the customer is able to pay in full by phone at the time of the repossession, we are more than happy to allow the customer to keep the vehicle. However, we cannot leave our vehicle with the customer after the towing company has detained the vehicle and we do not have a form of instant payment. I hope this helps explain the process a little bit more.
