Very friendly staff and great views of Currituck Sound from the waterfront spaces. We will return for a repeat visit.

We were there Thanksgiving weekend and the reservationist (Elizabeth) was very accommodating. We had beautiful weather which helped make it. The view was absolutely enjoyable. Everyone seemed very nice. The only issue that we found was low water pressure. We will be back.

Campground has a lot of construction going on still and will be amazing when it's completed. Staff is very helpful and accommodating. Magnificent waterfront. Cabins are very comfortable and the screened porch is a great place to relax, eat dinner and enjoy the breeze. Will definitely be back. Probably won't recognize the place next Summer!

We booked a "waterfront" site only to be told it could be a "waterfront" site that has a marsh between the campsite and the water. Then we found out that you cannot fish anywhere but the piers which would be a long walk for two 70+ year old adults plus gear. Then one of the piers is a swimming pier, thereby even limiting access even more. Beware of booking a "waterfront" lot as half of these sites are a long way from the water!

Great campground! Cabins are well maintained and stocked. Grounds are very well kept. Great water views. Playground,bounce pad volleyball court and arcade are well maintained and accessible to all of the campsites. Staff was very helpful and available.

The absolute best water front! The staff the best! They guided us to our camp site and even assisted us in parking. The only problem was swarms of annoying bugs. Concerned about how bad mosquitoes might be in summer.

Seamless reservation and check in process. I had several questions given how travel has been impacted by COVID-19. Robin answered quickly and honestly. If you travel anywhere during a pandemic and are surprised to find some amenities are unavailable and choose to leave a negative review... shame on you! All businesses, travel destinations, tourist attractions, etc. are operating under restrictions and with revised standards of operation. Our family arrived to find extraordinary views and an immaculate cabin! The OBX West team planned and executed a fun-filled holiday weekend. Not just present but genuinely engaging with guests, it was evident their team was committed to providing an exceptional experience! Low water pressure was a small price to pay to see the smiles on my kiddos faces and watch the sun set over the sound! -Happy Campers!

It was fun with great amenities... Note your location is about an hour or little over for major location spots, but that's OBX overall. There are some local things to do near by such as... State wildlife area to fish the channel, boat docks everywhere, local seafood, pizza at Wiseguys Pies (call ahead) and across from there is a gas station with a good size arcade with lazer tag and pizza too. Do your research and you'll be set. They do have nats and frogs all over, but it depends on the season and that's ocean life. The customer service is good here, just treat them how you want to be treated. Enjoy!
