A wrongful garnishment was placed on my account by a creditor. The bank took the money out of my account to bring my balance to zero dollars, which ended up being kept as a processing fee. I had called the creditor and got everything cleared up with them, and they understood that the garnishment was a mistake since I am unemployed still. I called OSU Credit Union to see if I could get the money/fee back that they had taken for the garnishment. At first it sounded like that wasn’t something that they could do and I got upset. I wrote a review about my experience and then this happened…I was immediately called by a person named, Alexis who handles the garnishment processing‘s for OSU Credit Union, and she was very understanding. My call should have been routed to her but got lost in a miscommunication. Alexis saved the day and reversed the fee. I choose a local credit union to bank with because they treat you like real people and understand that mistakes happen. If ever you have an issue with a garnishment on your account, just ask for Alexis and she will advocate for you the best she can!!!
Hi Travis. I understand we were able to resolve this for you. Thank you for reaching out.

Very few locations. Understaffed. ATM is slow and buggy; it makes you take your card out and put it back in multiple times for one tranasaction and then doesn't even deposit cash until days later. No Shared branch banking means there's no reason to keep an account here.

Mixed feelings about Oregon State Credit Union. Sometimes they are stellar and other times they are slow about getting to people since they are chit chatting with customers after the fact. But one of the worst thing that happened was after inserting debit card, before transaction was completed I realized I was going to be short funds. So I transferred money via my phone only to find out they dinged me $7.98 anyway...$4.00 transfer fee and remaining what I was short....Was happily impressed I received a follow up call about circumstances. Made me feel better about situation. Thanks
Thanks for reaching out to us, Mark. We are sorry for the frustration you experienced. It sounds like our local branch manager was able to get in touch with you and take care of that fee. Thank you for your added comments, and for taking the time to update your rating after that conversation. Thank you for sharing your concerns.

Don't bother coming here to do any shared branching on saturday. They just "dont have the capacity" even when there are three tellers open. I hope you read it here before driving 30 minutes like I did. Seems like they only want the good parts of being in the network. They will gladly let their members use other credit unions but don't want to service other members.
We are one of many credit unions in Oregon that have made the decision to no longer offer shared branching on Saturdays. We continue to offer shared branching services Monday through Friday in our current branch locations.

DO NOT BANK HERE This has been the worst banking experience of my 20 plus years of banking they are unprofessional and very uneducated the Dallas Oregon branch mgr Bonnie is a disgusting human being very ignorant when it comes to banking and the law I do believe they are collecting overdraft fees without just cause they also confuse bank rules and the laws and customer service is just as bad no hierarchy bank mgr seems as high as you can go to complain and they don't care you are just a number not a valued customer (at least if you are not wealthy but I can't see a person with money and a brain in there head banking here very uneducated and unprofessional not for the working man

Changed their sister banking policy but wont post it anywhere so you have to get all the way to a teller to find out they dont sister bank anymore.
Thank you for your comment. Your question is about Shared branching. We discontinue Shared Branching in September of 2020 given the wide spread availability of electronic services and for the safety of our members and employees due to the pandemic. Notifications of this change went out to impacted members prior to this change. You can still access ATMs across the CO-OP Network. We apologize for the inconvenience that you experienced. Thank you again for sharing.

I left a review here recently about how I was treated when trying to help my elderly mother with her banking. I no longer see the review. I will be going in and hoping to meet with the bank manager as I expect an apology.

Been sitting here for over 45 minutes. They just sit there and talk shop with other members for 30 minutes at a time. They do not care about your time at all. Go bank somewhere else.
Thank you for reaching out to us, Brandon. We're aware that particularly around payday times of the month, we have longer wait times in our branches. We'd like to learn more about what you experienced. Our branch manager is going to attempt to reach you for more details so we can continue to improve.
