This is our neighborhood credit union and they make us feel welcome. Kory is great teller that is kind and professional, she makes everything go smoothly. We love banking here because of amazing people like her.
Thanks for leaving this review, Emily. We appreciate it.

The staff at this branch have always been very friendly. Easy to do simple services (cash checks, deposit money, etc.).
Thank you for this review, Sam. We really appreciate it.

Look, I've never had an issue caused by this credit union, they've solved a few, like when a bank's ATM double-charged my friend a withdrawal fee. Every time I've had a question, I pop into to the closest branch and I get a good answer from knowledgeable and polite staff. They have machines where you can dump change in and if you're a member, there's no fee or percentage taken out. Drive-up services are quick and easy and friendly. Mobile check deposit works great; I've used it trouble-free for dozens of deposits. The only reason I could think of that someone would have trouble with this financial institution is if they need some further education on how finance works. I appreciate the services of OSCU so much that I really consider it a strong reason to stay living in this area. If I had to complain about anything, which would be a stretch, is that the acoustics at the 9th St. Corvallis branch make it a little loud inside. Oh no, the abject horror. Seriously though, dear reader: listen to a review that puts a little thought, effort, and eloquence into it. OSCU is great and honestly, in my experience, the best financial institution to work with if you have a branch in your area. P.S.: I enjoy stealing their pens.
Thank you for the rating and review, Kevin. We truly appreciate it. PS - you don't have to steal the pens, we'll give you one if you ask. :)

Behind the times, not progressive. Poor management and disgruntled employees. I worked there for a year and took the first ticket out. Do not engage.
Thank you for your feedback, Katie. We are sorry we weren’t a good fit for you during the few months you were with us. We strive to provide a positive workplace culture that is true to our corporate values and which embraces the FISH Philosophy that lies at the heart of our work environment. We think you might find things have changed since you worked here more than eight years ago. Our annual employee surveys have yielded consistent results for the past several years. Employees indicated they would recommend the credit union as a place to work, and that they are proud to work at Oregon State Credit Union. While we think we’re a pretty great place to work, we realize no employer is a perfect fit for everyone. We wish you nothing but the best on your life journey.

Whatever you do, do not get an auto loan through this bank. Predatory lending at it’s best. After over a year of being set up on auto pay, we get one call notifying us that we are past due on our payments and owe 500$. We verified that we have paid every single month on-time. The reason they provided was that they didn’t have insurance on file for our vehicle, even though I verified with our insurance company it’s been sent several times.. they will not refund us. Our credit now has a hit (we didn’t even find out from them- we found out via Credit Karma and we also discovered no emails, letters, calls to our primary phone on file, etc were made in an attempt to reach us). We’ve been calling asking if they’ve received the insurance verification but every single time they have said that “that department has left for the day”, despite calling multiple times at different times throughout the day. This bank is an utter and complete scam. This is predatory lending at it’s best. And we are looking at getting our loan switched ASAP. It was no surprise to see other comments of this same thing happening to multiple people as well. I do not typically post things like this, but others need to be aware of this and I hope that no one has the same misfortune we are having to deal with.
We'd like to learn more about what happened with your loan. Can you call our Member Service Center and ask for our assistant director of Centralized Services? That number is 800-732-0173. She works between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

I love Oregon State Credit Union, and their customer service on site and on the phone during open hours is fantastic; however, their after-hours service is just about the worst I have ever encountered. This weekend, I had two fraudulent charges on my account. I was on hold for nearly 45 minutes, then two different after-hours customer service people told me my account number was invalid AND when I finally got them to understand the problem, one of them transferred me to fraud prevention, which never picked up. This is the third time my wife or I have had to deal with the after-hours service, and each time it was bad like this. Please, please, please get a service that matches your own high quality rather than whatever is cheapest.

I don't write reviews, but I have to counter all the negativity here. I love OSU Federal. They are a small Credit Union and have given us great service and great loans throughout the years. I appreciate that my money is here in my community. Credit Unions have different rules than banks and perhaps some of the problems folks have had here is expecting a small local credit union to function like a national bank.

I do a lot of business with OSU Credit union and have never had a problem with any of the procedures or staff, I would and have recommended OSU credit union to anyone who I believe could use their great services
Thank you for the rating and review, John. It's nice to see, and we appreciate it. I will share this with our frontline team members.

I have just moved into Corvallis and chose to bank here since it was close to where I live. I thought their staff were friendly and helpful. But then again, I did not have as bad experience as the other reviewers had. I didn't care for their online banking; they really need to fix it. For one, I have been using the same computer to sign in, yet I keep getting prompts to verify that it's me, so i need to have my email open so I can type in the verification numbers from there into OSU. Also, I don't like how I am only able to transfer funds 6 times a month. They said it was a federal thing, yet this was the first I've heard of it. Could be just the bank's policy being overly cautious which I am grateful, yet it's a pain to manage my OWN money at the same time. Defeats the whole point of online banking if I'm limited and have to go to the bank when I can. For these reasons. I just 'like' them. They aren't the best bank, but they are also not the worst either...

Please stay away if you can. Cashed in some federal savings bonds a few months ago. Today, an employee from OSU Federal called me to tell me that they made an error in calculating how much my bonds were worth and that I now owed them $139.56. I understand that mistakes happen, but the credit union refuses to help me out on this. I am a broke college student and don't really have an extra $140 lying around. I'm okay with paying a little to make up their loss, but I shouldn't have to suffer because of their mistake. I will be canceling my OSU Federal Credit Union account. If they were so concerned about their members, they'd have my back. Do yourself a favor and bank somewhere else. UPDATE: I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and the Regional Manager of OSU FCU contacted me. We settled on me paying for half of the mistake which I think seems okay. Much better customer service the second time around, I just wish it didn't take BBB involvement... I'm updating my rating from a "0" to a "1"
