Harassing phone calls if your 1 day late and untruthful reporting when you don't talk with them. For example, I was marked 30 days late on my credit report on the 28th day I was late but they reported me 30 days late anyway. The worst part is the fact that I paid on the 29th day (which was planned due to family emergency) to be sure I wouldn't have a 30 day late fee notice but they beat me to it though it was paid before the 30th day. Thanks One Main for making me aware of your business practices! I'm happy to say I am looking forward to paying you off and NEVER doing business with you again.

Ensure you print out your contract. My previous business with One Main Financial has been great. However I recently refinanced in February due to hardship. I worked with Kathy on the loan. She was not able to get me the loan desired loan amount, but she was able to get me a smaller amount with a deferred payment for February. During the process I was already charged for my payment in February the day of. The transaction was pending while trying to process, so Kathy informed me that in needed to wait to see if the payment posted the next day. I sent them bank statements to show that it had posted. The next day I worked with the branch manager Christy, since Kathy was off that day. Since the payment posted the agreement was for the loan and a deferred payment in March. That transaction was done over the phone and I electronically sign via vpn on the website. However a payment was taking out of my account for March. I called to see what happen. I was then told that I electronically sign for my first payment in March and there is nothing they can do. When I tried to review my contract I found that I can not access it on my account on the website or the app. I did receive an email with a link to the contract, however you can only access the contract for 7 days. When I called I spoke to a gentleman that said they skipped my payment for February, so I thought maybe that happened. When I review my bank statement, the payment was taken out. I called back and spoke to the branch manager Christy she recanted the agreement. She stated she has the contract showing that I signed for the payment in March. I made early payments on bills understanding that I would not have a payment for my loan in March. I’m sure they do have recording of the transaction as well. Christy claims they cannot skip a payment 45 days after the loan. I’m not clear why I was told that I would not have a payment in March. I was lied to. Makes sure you have a physical contract and record your conversations. After writing this, I called because I know I consented to being on a recorded line. I spoke with Christy and asked if they record the transactions. She told me no they don’t. She lied to me because I did verbally consent to being on a recorded line. I then called another office and asked to confirm that they record the agreements and she said yes they do. She asked if there was an issue and I told her I was told by the branch manager Christy that they do not. She attempted to back track at that point. I did record that conversation. This is very disappointing and I will no longer do anymore business with the company or recommend to anyone else. Update: Christy is very petty and unprofessional. She sent me a doctored contract. Not even the whole contract. I never asked for her to send anything. I got a call from the company and they heard me out, they woman said she would follow up the next day. No follow up. Update: Chanturia followed up and rectified the issue. Kathy issued a refund and made it right. I appreciate the action taken.

Don't get any of their insurance. I am very sick and I paid for the insurance in case of loss of jobs or work and now they are telling me you can use the insurance only if u still have a job even if you have serious health insurance!

It is a fact that One Main Financial is one if not the best lenders to deal with for your financial needs!! After being contacted as "pre approved" AND a hard pull on my credit AND granting view access to my bank accounts and sending in my tax returns... I would get a phone message "Hey this is Kathy call me back". So I would call back, "Oh Kathy is closing a loan right now". People that I know in business often add a little more info in a phone message, or even utilize the modern wonder of EMAIL to communicate to avoid playing phone tag. So when we finally actually talk she basically asks me to READ her my tax ruturn... which happens to be sitting right in front of her. Waste of time. no thanks

The whole staff was very friendly and efficient. I applied online during a holiday weekend. They called me two days later and by the next day I had my loan in hand. It was a pleasure doing business with Lauren, who was quick and efficient. She gave me all the information I needed to make the best choice and got me in and out in an hour. I will definitely be back for any loan needs.

High Way Robbery... Have been making several extra payments on line and was unaware they were not being placed toward the principal which would have decrease loan amount tremendously and in-turn they would not have been able to collect extra interest. The representative stated I was paid thru July but would still have to make a payment every month or I would accrue interest still because it is computed daily; this is High Way Robbery! How are you charging me interest for months that I have already paid for? Understanding that all banks, financial institutions have to make some type of profit in order to lend but this is ridiculous. Avoid One Main Financial at all cost. If not, it will definitely cost YOU!!
