I've been banking here since I was 16, but honestly the customer service, in this particular bank, has significantly declined since I first opened my first bank account. Everyone used to be so kind, pleasant and incredibly helpful and would ALWAYS say welcome to Ohio Savings Bank when you walked in the door, but not anymore. To date my worst experience was from this guy named John who was incredibly rude to me on the phone, unhelpful and tried to belittle me while giving banking advice. I think he should be wrote up or fired. You do not speak to people like that, especially hard paying customers. I used to have a really good relationship with Darethann and Dee (Dee, sometimes to me, seems like she picks and chooses who she likes and if she likes you she gives you the best customer service ever; unfortunately, when it comes to my family (We are all black), she always has an underlying attitude; I try not to assume that she is prejudice, but I'm almost positive she is). Darethann doesn't say 2 words to you anymore which is crazy because she was always so friendly and talkative. When I first came to this bank, I felt safe, secure, important and wanted, but now this bank is no longer a home or a safe place, which is unfortunate because I felt blessed to bank here, but I'm done. I'm done with the attitudes and the heavy lack of customer service. I will be closing my accounts and taking my money elsewhere as soon as possible.

WORST BANKING EXPERIENCE, EVER. This bank is a joke, folks. A homeowner wrote me a personal check for a moderate amount of money. Their bank ( US Savings Bank) is less than 1 mile away from my homeowners home. I could have easily made a mobile deposit to my account at CHASE, but since I was right there, I figured “ What can it take? 5 minutes”? 1st of all, the gentleman behind the counter spoke so low that I couldn’t hear him. I gave him 2 credit cards, my driver’s license, and the Buffoon proceeded to take the next 10 minutes to copy all of my information required, and write it down on the back of the check. 3 sentences... 10 MINUTES!!! It was like watching 2 monkeys attempting to make love to a football. He then informs me that he “Must call the homeowners to make sure everything is legit” Their phone number was busy, so the teller tells me “we simply have to wait for the homeowner to call back”.... My response was “ Well, if you knew you were going to have to call the homeowner, WHY DID YOU WRITE ALL OF MY CREDIT CARD INFORMATION ON THE CHECK FIRST”???? ( essentially rendering the check useless to any bank OTHER than theirs). His RESPONSE? Crickets/Nada/NOTHING Avoid at all costs. Unfriendly atmosphere. Unprofessional employees, and a manager that was obviously leading by example. I can’t imagine the 3 hour process people have to endure to even open a checking account. Like watching paint dry, folks.

I stopped in to make a deposit and it was my first time at this location. I am new to the world of computer banking. The manager , Darethann , was very helpful. She helped me with some computer tips. She is just awesome. Five Stars !
