Simply was trying to link my checking account as an external account to another bank and it kept failing. Tried 3 times over 20 days all routing and account numbers correct still failed. Call bank, nobody answers, left messages, no calls back. when i called again employee attempted to help, tried asking to speak with someone that handles online website but they didn't know who I could speak to about why it keeps failing. Moved funds to another bank and 1 day later was easily able to accomplish the link. I see know why there are so many bad reviews, nobody seems to understand how online system works.

Me and my family had an account with them for over 40 years and they refused to order me a new debit card. I have been on the account for over 10 years my self. They wouldn't give me a new debit card because they said I reached the max which was 5 cards. I dont understand how in a ten year period i needed new cards 5 times but the 6th time its a problem. How can you bank without a debit card? Ultimately I had to close the account that my dad opened before I was born due to their incompetence. On top of it the lady that was helping me said "I hope really bad things happen to you." Completely unprofessional and unwilling to help a family who had been with them for 40 years.

Nice people but it takes much too long to get anything done correctly. I ordered a debit card, they shipped it to the wrong address. I reordered the debit card, and it never arrived. I again reordered the debit card and had it delivered to the bank for me to pick up, and it never arrived. Five months later I am still trying to get a debit card and no one at NVB knows why it keeps getting lost. I have has other similar issues with them as well. I don't normally write reviews, but don't use North Valley Bank.

Very disappointed with this bank. The first bank account I opened was here out of convenience. Today I went to cash a check and was told the supervisor requested a 5 day hold be put on it or I could get it cashed at another bank for a fee. When I went in to speak with the supervisor I was told they were too busy to see me ...... even though I was told they were the one requesting a 5 day hold be put on my check. Instead I was directed towered a snide book keeper who was enthusiastic about loosing a customer, but unwilling to even attempt to see if they could help me in any way. I tried explaining that because of the 5 day hold my account would get overdrawn, asking if they could wave the overdraft fee. After all they had never placed a hold on any of my checks before including one with a greater value. This lady had the nerve to tell me to just deposit more money or to deposit that amount more regularly and they wouldn't place a hold on it. Like honestly there attitude was basically p!ss off or find a new bank and I will. It won't be hard either. From what I was told there is a fee to hold a savings account here, the APY is a joke, even in this market. They only have 2 locations and don't offer any decent credit building tools. You'd think a bussiness who's primary customer bases is elderly might be intrested is retaining younger customers.

No online banking. No effective mobile banking. Netteller is a horrible service. Great and friendly staff if a bit slow. Also, my account has been locked from using the over the phone teller service for 2 years now. A great bank if you're over 60 or don't do a lot of banking. But if you like to actually manage your money I wouldn't recommend it.

Bank teller did not want to assist me because there was five minutes before closing time and told me that they were closed. Also keep in mind I arrived 15 minutes before closing time and was waiting in line. There was one customer in front me but it took the bank teller ten minutes just to assist them. I do not care how long it took the bank teller to assist the customer in front of me. The problem here is that I was already in line before closing time and they still decided not to assist me.

this is by far the most terrible bank I've ever done business with. they are unknowledgable and will lie to your face to deceive you. very unfair treatment. unwilling to help with fraudulent bank charges. will lie to you about it. they.tell you to get the money back yourself. I had to report them to the federal reserve bank. they wanted me to call businesses in other states and argue with them about purchases. then they told me I might not get my money back unless I argued with all the businesses. I hate this bank and everyone who works for it. NVB did not perform their fiduciary responsibility. they were entrusted with my money and they are suppose to act in my interest and they didn't want to. they never sent me a new bank card. they lie and lie and accuse you of crimes. I hate this bank and everybody in it.
While we strive to assist our customers with issues that arrise, we do encounter situations that we are unable to resolve immediately. Ms. Dautricourt was given credit for the fraudulent charges, within the proper time frame, as stated by regulations.

1 star simply because one of your supervisors was just being a bad employee telling me she didn’t want me at her bank, and she threatened me that if I did decided to open an account with them just to watch how long it would stay active. REALLY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR A SUPERVISOR!

Stopped in here to inquire about some of the advantages of being a member of this bank. Was pleased with the answers I received and i almost felt like I was already a member .. and although I am still currently with another bank ... I appreciated their time..

They are so slow!! Been setting here for 10 minutes waiting just to deposit my check!! No one is here but me and another car!!!
