Navy Federal Credit Union - Restricted Access Steamboat Rd, Kings Point

Since COVID is send this location has had issues with communication, staffing and proper training. I stand behind navy fed as being a satisfied member for 10 years. It’s just difficult to be a member on Long Island because they have not invested into brick and mortar locations. Therefore any issues must be handled over the phone ir driving to this location. It is also in a restricted are so you have to remember to have a dependent ID or active CAC. Being a resident on Long Island I recommend having a local primary bank and navy fed makes a great secondary resource.

I WAS TREATED VERY POORLY BY CHERYL. SHE MADE ME FEEL UNDERVALUED, AND WAS VERY SNOTTY. BECAUSE OF HER NASTY ATTITUDE IM CHANGING MY BANK. THANKS TO CHERYL I WAS LEFT FRUSTRATED AND I CALL FOR CHERYL TO BE FIRED. SHE IS UNFRIENDLY,SNOTTY, AND OBNOXIOUS. SHE IS THE WORSE REPRESENTATIVE IVE EVER DEALT WITH AND LACKS COMPASSION FOR HER LINE OF WORK.

I've had one of the worst experience with someone on the phone, she claim I wasn't clear and kept asking questions after questions, when I got annoyed this woman flagged my account as fraudulent activity, ask to speak to a supervisor and Gina came on the phone with the same negative energy. Now I can't access my account and I have to drive 79 miles to a branch just to rectify this matter... I've been calling and calling, asking for someone to review the recordings of the conversations and resolve this injustice that was done to me and it was to no avail. I'm done with this bank and will be closing my account after this drive INDEFINITELY.

My husband was in the service and is now a veteran and this is the only location in NYC we can access. Unfortunately, since we came during the pandemic, this branch is closed and only open with restricted access to active duty or government officials. I don’t understand why they haven’t updated their information on here or anywhere else stating it is closed. Don’t waste your time driving here. We were informed that the branches in NJ or PA may be open. Please call before making the trip though, save yourself the hassle!

The assistant manager Michelle rejected my deposit of business checks to my personal checking account on 1/3/2017 while the previous manager of this branch has approved the last 100s of deposit made at this branch. She told me that it's illegal to deposit business checks to my personal checking, which my lawyer and Navy Federal business services advised me that this is legal as of 1/4/17, so she has provided false legal advise and caused cash flow problem of my business and severe emotional stress. Providing wrongful legal advise is what's really illegal in NY state and that's confirmed by more than one lawyer. She has the authority to reject any deposit solely based on her discretion according to Navy Federal Head Quarter. I'm filing for discrimination against Navy Federal and will post the out come here. I regret that I have supported this bank for over ten years even after I got out of the military, and will soon move my business else where.

Temporarily closed but you won’t find that out until you get to the front gate - be nice if NFCU informed it’s customers of its lone brick and mortar location being closed because the main phone line is unaware - makes closing on a home and needing a certified check kind of tough to acquire

I was on a payment plan with navy fed and they withdrew money on a day i didn’t authorize causing me to lose money. I emailed and called a number of times and they keep telling me it isn’t their fault. So who fault is it then Karen? I’m done with this.

NFCU, can you please let people around the area know that this is no longer open?? This is unacceptable; many people do not live near this location such as myself, only to be turned back around

I love this bank, they have great 24 hour customer service support, they work with you with my experience in a car loan it was fast and swift and very nice interest rates .

As the ONLY Navy Federal in all of the Long Island and what seems the New York city area, you'd think they'd be open longer or at least on Saturdays. I have to drive 45 minutes to get to the bank. And I will not get another bank because I like Navy Federal but come on? Extend your hours or open up a few more branches ONE branch is ridiculous!
