I love banking with Navy Federal but is employees like Veronica Walden that go above and beyond that make me want to come back and do all my banking with you. I have banked with Navy Fed for over 5 years and it’s always great to work with superstars like Veronica. I got an auto loan and she made it seamless and super easy. A+++

104 Ellington Boulevard NFCU ...... ...... 9/20/2021 ...... I had a pleasure of speaking with bank specialist Adriene Lawrence, Sorry about mangled her name but she was above and beyond with the customer service and very informative, and most importantly she articulated herself very clearly and practiced a lot of patience to help me to understand the banking process a little better and some good suggestions for exploring my house purchasing options, and how to truly place my finances . She was also assisting in my 13-year-old son getting his first ever account! It's good to find someone knowledgeable, who has good interpersonal skills, and also shares the same values about smart financing. She gave me a lot of information in person that she was able to verify without doubt, that a lot of people even some of my peers who are also Navy federal members misconstrued or just were playing wrong about, in regards to banking options with Navy Federal. I feel comfortable asking her as many questions as I need it because she was not judgmental, hasty, or dismissive in the least bit. On the contrary she was very engaging and wanted to make sure I did not leave that branch without having my questions either answered or at least explored with their resources. Overall good representation for the financial department she's good at what she does I look forward to getting some more knowledge about my finances from this branch. **As a side note immediately when I step through the door I was greeted by customer service and immediately logged in if you will and was given a place to lounge until Miss Lawrence came out moments later. Thanks

This is one of the best places I’ve ever had a job. The managers are reasonable, the training is thorough, they invest in your professional development, and the team here is knowledgeable, easygoing and get along well. Everyone I’ve met at this branch and at headquarters in Vienna, Va., are happy to help me in developing great skills to provide members with exceptional member services. If this all sounds unrealistic, I understand. But it’s one of the reasons why Navy Federal is a Top 100 Best Places to Work according to Forbes. The benefits are exceptional, handsome bonuses are possible, and opportunities to possibly cover your graduate degree. If you are lucky enough to interview with Navy Federal and possibly offered a job, I’d jump at it. But only if you want to work at a great place and grow in your career.

Consistent lighting quick service. This Navy Federal location is outstanding. Julio helped me today but all of the staff are ideal. I think this speaks to the quality of training and expectations set by the company. I would recommend this credit union to anyone sole based on the quality of service.

Went in to cash my checks instead of doing it on the app, so it would reach my account ASAP. Garrett was extremely helpful and friendly. My checks were cashed, money in account, and I was out the door in less than 3mins (probably less than that). Thank You, Garrett, for your exceptional service! I will definitely return to the branch in the future!

I have never had such a negative experience at a Navy Federal in all the years that I've had them since day one in the military to now being retired. I went in to ask what documents were needed to open a business account and she said their business person was gone and could not tell me when she would be back, they wouldn't take my phone number to have her give me a call, they wouldn't give me a number to call, they said I couldn't do it online and they didn't have any documentation they could provide me except for one document that was not explanatory at all and it had requirements of other documents which I was unfamiliar with- and they wouldn't provide me any explanation or even a resource in the store or online explaining any of it. The "greeter" or whatever that person's title is when you first walk in refused to let me talk to anyone else which I'm certain knew far more than her, and basically told me to leave because, and I quote because I asked her to say it again since I couldn't believe it, "There is nothing we can do for you". I have never been treated so rudely and I will definitely be taking my business elsewhere. It's really unfortunate because in general I've had nothing but positive experiences from this particular financial entity. They have no accountability either, you can't talk to a manager and there's no way to call the branch and when you call the national number they said there's no way to file a complaint against it branch.

The most friendly, helpful staff I have even encountered. Great with communication skills and problem solving. I will honestly go out of my way just to come to this Navy federal for assistance. I can't given them enough praise!

Bank teller was a woman with ginger hair. She was very rude and snappy for no apparent reason and seemed to be very impatient. Very upsetting and unprofessional.

I went to this Navy Federal to request a new debit card. I also mentioned that I have funds pending that I would like to be released a day early. Navy Federal has always been great about realizing my funds a day early over the telephone. The first representative I spoke with and explained what I needed to accomplish told me yes she could get the debit card, but she would "see if she could release the funds or not" that was weird because I had never heard OR Not before but i waited patiently. She eventually gives me the card and tells me that my funds should post later today. I knew that was not accurate information and that my funds would not post until the next day. I asked her to confirm if she could release the funds early or not because she didn't answer a definite NO, but she instead told me that in the case of an emergency they could release my funds early. I've called Navy Federal before a few times and they never told me this was the case. I decided to take my debit card and leave, but something didn't feel right. I simply felt like this representative was not solution oriented and for whatever reason didn't want to help me. I went back in to the bank and spoke with another person who tells me that they usually only release the funds as a courtesy. I let her know that I'm okay with that and I ask her if she could go ahead and do it as a courtesy. She tells me that from looking at my account "It seems like you make this a habit. I then asked her if there was a limit to courtesy? I ask her is there a policy or anything that lets you know when I'v reached capacity for asking Navy Federal to release the funds early and she says NO. I ask Then why am i being met with such rejection and Objection to the early release of my funds. she quickly types on her machine and releases my funds. I tell her thank you and I leave. ******************** Over the phone i'm never met with any objection, only solution oriented customer service and when I go into the actually bank I'm treated poorly as if what I'm asking for is unreasonable. Im even shunned for having asked for this more than once. I was never asked or told what constitutes and emergency, but yet I was told that my request could not be fulfilled. I can't help but to believe that my skin color amongst an all white staff had something to do with why they just weren't interested in dong their best to help me as a customer. Apparently Courtesy was at an all time low here at least on the morning I went. It seemed as though the rules being applied were subject to change and didn't reflect the actual policy of Navy Federal, but more their personal judgment or lack there of. It's unfortunate that I can get better treatment on the phone than in person. It's also weird that there is an all white staff at this location and all black staff at the Navy Federal on Rockville Pike. All I would ask is that if there is a limit to Courtesy then put it in writing and make it company policy, but don't leave it to the discretion of staff because some opinions may be bias.
