This local credit union does not care about its members. My husband and I had been banking primarily with Heartland Federal Credit Union for a little over 8 years. My brother in law was also an employee in their loan department and then later a branch manager. We had excellent service up until things started changing a few years ago. It was 2012 and I was getting ready to have our second child and we decided to buy a motorcycle for my husband. We had arranged to have our 2 car loans refinanced as well, stating that would be the only reason we purchase the motorcycle. According to the loan officer this was approved through the board. So we go to sign the papers and the lady told us we needed to get the new loan complete and then we would sign the refinance papers the next week, after we came home from the hospital. After several calls we finally got the response that due to the new loan we were not able to get refinanced. After a small dispute about the matter and their refusal to help, we left taking our banking needs to Wright Patt Credit Union. During the process of the past 3 years my husband had been paying off a cc through Heartland. About 8 or so months ago he got an alert from credit karma saying that this card had been closed and balance removed. We also found out that his online account had been taken down and they stopped sending statements. Then about 2 months ago he receives a call saying he is past due on the card and he immediately went in and got it current. They started sending statements again and he has been paying on time.. We had recently also found our dream home and have been working with a financial advisor to get approved. So, much to our surprise, we found out he had one deragatory mark making his score just a few points too low and it is from Heartland. He went in to the local branch and inquired as to who he could speak to and we were reffered to an Alisa Zink. In the process of talking to the tellers, my husband was told that them not sending statements was a known issue and they had a dozen or more complaints in the last 6 months. He was also told that his online access was deleted for "reasons unknown" and that was odd because they always had to have a specific reason. He asked them to sign him back up so it would no longer be an issue, and also in case they stopped sending statements again. We both sent emails to Alisa this week and then to the CEO Ronald Huist after we had short rude replies from her stating she could not take this off our credit as a courtesy... We told her and the CEO that this was a mistake on their part and they were in violation of their terms and agreements stating they will mail or deliver billing statements to the address provided. He basically told us he wouldn't and that we could take it up with the credit bureaus if we wanted to, knowing there is potentially a chance we could lose our dream home. My husband and I have been working so hard to make this dream a reality and our 2 little girls have fallen in love with this home as well. He has been made aware that we would be contacting all the proper agencies and reviewing them on every media outlet. It seems to me like they are trying to hide the fact that they made a mistake. Steer clear of this credit union!!!!!

Everyone in this place has been more than helpful. I recently had to take over my grandmother's finances due to her age, health condition, and the fact that a family who was her power of attorney was taking advantage of her. I explained the situation to them and they guided me step by step without making me feeling stupid on how to go about fixing everything. I'm very grateful for people here

Not animal friendly...blocked nesting geese from returning! Also have witnessed them chasing them off with sticks and a rake!
