    Do not get a Credit Card here!!! If you ever have a credit card here and find yourself in a pinch, they will dock your credit score dramatically. Really make sure you fall harder than you were. After wards they will waste no time at all sending you to collections. I was in the exact situation with Cyprus Credit Union at the same time, and Cyprus Credit Union helped me when I needed it. Really shows a difference in how one company feels about their clients when you are able to compare a great company to a bad one. Long story short my wife had a mental breakdown and I had to acquire funds fast to get her to a hospital. This was very very expensive, and Mountain America is making life extremely difficult over it all.. Very rude Mountain America, I’d have work with your company, yet you guys provided none. I think they will make “more” money on my down fall by taking me to court. I’ll just spend my days talking people away from you.

    I always enjoy coming through the drive through at MACU! I’m treated like I’m a important CU member no matter my account status. The teller , she had a positive attitude, and seemed genuinely interested in helping me out! Thanks MACU for job well done!

    What kind of a bank doesn’t offer breaking large bills for someone who does not have an account. That’s Blasphemy. I had one single $100 bill I needed smaller so that I could buy a dang bird picture from a lady that isn’t a bank and didn’t have change for me. First I went to Wells Fargo express who does not carry cash (I get they couldn’t help me) who in turn refers this bank. I mean what the hell

    Long wait times, and empty desk. People with no respect cutting In line and tellers/ employees not telling customers to wait there turn. I have been sitting in the lobby for 35 mins without even so much as a Hi, how can I help you. Note: Main lobby. I’m about to order jimmy johns and have the bank Update: Now josh on the other hand.     A very long time ago I remember leaving a review somewhere that they were snotty and condescending here. They really were, it was pretty awful. Fast forward: I haven’t noticed that in years now. They’re efficient and make banking easy there (my wife loves the app), and we’ve had some good experiences. Much better than America First, which wasn’t fun because of some non-customer friendly rules, practices, app, etc. Everything seems to run far better here than other CUs and banks in town - we’ve worked with three others. My only small negative would be sometimes the line can be long in the lobby on the rare occasions I’ve had to go in, and it just doesn’t feel great seeing 4-5 staff sitting or walking around while one or two tellers are slowly working their way through the line while you’ve got places you really need to be. Not a huge deal to me, the other positives far outweigh.

    I don't even bank here...I was selling a car to a member. I worked with MACU ad nauseam...two trips to the branch and 3 hours later (all pertinent paperwork and info was provided to them) and they were still trying to figure out how to trade a car title for money. Not only does their member not get a sweet deal on a nice car, they get 1 star and a guy who'll NEVER deal with them again.

    I love MACU. They have been good for me and I have been with them almost 10 years. I'm really impressed with the rewards service as well. This store specifically seems to be really well staffed and on point. The second my wife and I walked in through the doors we were greeted and immediately asked what they could do for us. Our visit was extremely fast as we were adding my wife to my account and refinancing our car loan. They needed some information from us for our car and we were able to follow up through email and sign the documents from home. Just customer friendly and have your best interests in mind. Josh Lucero is the best member of their staff and I would recommend going to him.

    This is an ongoing issue for me. I came in last weekend to cash a check. The teller proceeded to ask me several questions about my finances which was a little weird but he seemed like he had good intentions so I answered them. He then told me that Mountain America could potentially save me money on my credit cards, auto etc. He asked me if I had a few minutes to talk with a loan officer so I said I could spared a few minutes. Within a few minutes I was approached by Josh. He asked a few questions and told me that they were getting busy and he could follow up with me over the phone so I didn't have to wait which was appreciated. I was told I'd get a call in about 20 mins. It was a bit longer but I don't mind. He asked me what I was looking to accomplish so I told him the teller told me I may be able to save money through them etc. While conversing I asked a question that Josh didn't have an answer to. He told me he'd find out and call me back. Haven't heard anything in days now. The point of this review is not to be negative to Mountain America but to show people that they are more focused making a quick buck than true customer service. I have other issues with them and I have since opened an account elsewhere. I hope this review helps anyone.

    Aaron, one of the loan officers there was quite rude to my boyfriend and I as we were trying to get a loan for a new car. He would talk down to us and act like we were stupid. Mountain America is great as a whole but would not recommend speaking to this person
