We just finished up a building with Morton and thought I would share our experience since the other reviews seems pretty negative. First off, we never experienced any of the issues listed in other reviews. From the moment my wife and I walked into the door, everyone at Morton was extremely helpful and friendly. We initially were looking at a larger building, but our budget did not allow for it... We ended up with a 36x45. We worked with Randy and he guided us through the entire process on why Morton is different and showed us all the options along with previous projects so we could get a better understanding of what Morton had to offer. Randy even built a 3D model of our building within minutes so we could visualize our building. Looking at that model and our finished building, they are identical! Morton’s crew were great and showed up on time everyday. If there were any delays we were notified by Benny who coordinated the crew, materials, permits, etc. Everyone is super friendly and answered any questions that we had along the way. Once done, Randy came out to our location to make sure we were happy with everything and to thank us again for our business. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Morton again for any future projects. Before we decided on Morton, we spoke and visited with several other building companies, but one common thing we found was that we would have to become the general contractor on the project. We did not want to deal with a separate building company, building erector, grading, concrete, electric, etc, etc. That will ALWAYS lead to finger pointing and a blame game when things go wrong. Letting Morton handle everything was so easy and we didn’t have to worry about anything. When you are spending that kind of money, you want things done right and know that if something goes wrong now or 30 years from now, the company is going to be around to fix it. Thanks to everyone at Morton for a wonderful experience. We will be enjoying our barn for many years to come!
Chris, thank you for the feedback! The team at Morton is so happy the process and end-result were exactly what you were looking for.

I rarely write reviews but wanted to say how pleasant my experience was while having a building built by Morton Buildings. My wife and I met with Dennis at the Lexington Office to discuss our building project. He was very knowable and easy to talk to and answered all our questions. We decided on a building and a couple of weeks later we decided on a larger one. Dennis changed our order to a larger building. Every step of the way a Morton person was very professional and courteous: starting with Daniel who did our grading, to Benny who inspected to site and oversaw the unloading of materials, to Donald who was over the actual building. The subcontractors were also first class from the company that poured our cement to the company that put up our garage doors. Anytime I had a question along the way Dennis always returned my call and answered my questions. I have always heard that Morton Buildings were the best and I can tell from the quality why they have such a positive reputation. The people I dealt with made the whole experience even better.
Brian, we really appreciate your feedback! The Morton Team is thrilled to know that the experience, building process and end-result were what you hoped for.

Viewed Morton’s products online and was impressed. I went by their office in Lexington to meet with the sales staff and get more information on a large garage/small barn for my home. I was met by a gentleman named Randy who showed me into to his office. I told him I’d like to see some products and get an idea of pricing. He abruptly interjected with “what’s the budget.” I honestly answered; “I’m not sure, I just have an idea of what I need, let’s take a look at your products.” He quickly became curt, then rude. He never offered any building info or pricing, he simply wanted to see/hear how much I was willing to spend. The building I’m looking for may cost $30k or $65k. I have no idea. That’s why I went to see an expert. Just because I CAN spend $65k doesn’t mean I want or need to. After 10-15 minutes I left with zero information. Randy was likely the rudest salesman I’ve ever dealt with (and that’s saying a lot).
We're sorry to hear about the experience you've had with Morton Buildings. We strive to build the highest-quality buildings for our customers. We'd love to learn more about the situation so we can take the proper steps moving forward. Please reach out to [email protected].

I have not ever written a bad review. After much thought I have decided to share my personal experience with Morton Building in Lexington. NC. First, I should say I own two Morton buildings. One is an airplane hanger, and the other an 8 stall horse barn. My father/mother purchased these buildings in 2000. When my father passed (2013) I became the owner. I have called Morton building starting in 2017-current 8 to 10 times. I have been connected to the salesman’s voicemail. Each time I have left a message with my name and number. Not one time have I received a call back. On February 4, 2019 I decided to drive out to Morton and hopefully catch the salesman and be able to speak with him. I was greeted by a friendly receptionist, Helen, who asked me what I needed. I told her I had called many times, and not once has the salesman returned any of my calls. She informed me the salesman was in his office in a meeting with customers. I told her I would be happy to wait until he was available. I explained to her all the cupelo’s on my two buildings were leaking, and I was needing to get the Morton building metal to repair them. The salesman came out of his office to go into another room. He asked me what I was needing. His name is Randy Wig. I explained to him my needs for repairs, and that I had called many times and he never returned my calls. Come to find out he is the man who sold my mother and father the two Morton buildings. Another couple(customer) walked into the lobby while he and I were talking. Randy asked Helen if Morton’s database had a record of the times I had called. Helen replied the system was down, but she did remember talking to me. Randy asked the salesman across the hall to pull my parents paper file to see exactly what buildings I was referring to and the materials used to construct the buildings. They still had the paper file and knew exactly what I would need. With the lobby full of customers Randy told me he would schedule an install/repair team to come look at my cupelos and fix them. That one type of a material they used in 2000 didn’t last long term. I left feeling good about the situation. Within a few hours that day Randy called me and tried to get out of sending the crew to my home. I said to him I can not believe that just a few hours ago you were happy to send a crew out, and now there are several excuses as to why yo will not. Finally, he said he would order the repair crew to go out and someone should be contacting me in less then a week to schedule a time. I did not hear from anyone for over 3 weeks. I contacted Helen, ordered the required metal and ridge cap to repair/replace the faulty cupelos on the barn. One-week later Helen contacted me to let me know the materials were in. On March 11, 2019 I arrived at Morton to pick up my materials. While getting out of my truck Randy Wig rolled down his car window and asked me how I was doing today. I replied I have had the worst customer experience from Morton building. I recapped how he said he would be in touch within a week, and how all my previous calls he did not return. He smartly said, “Have a nice day” and drove away. Randy was extremely smirk and rude. I could not imagine telling a customer in front of other customers I would take care of it, and then not following through. Much less being so arrogant about it. It is blatantly apparent Randy has zero customer care after a building is purchased. On Morton’s website it states: “The buck stops here. Others claim to have a warranty as strong as ours. That simply is not true. Our warranties are handled in-house, including materials and labor, and are not prorated. You call us and we take care of you. Morton products. Morton people. Morton quality, guaranteed.” That is certainly not my experience!

I also have had a horrible.customer experience with Randy. I refuse to use them because of him.
