James Kramlich at Moodys in Gorham is by far the best in the business to take your car to. I am a very particular customer and had a lot of custom work done to my car. After getting in the accident James took control and saw it through to be done perfectly. He's the friendliest, most honest and knowledgeable out there. Ben Moody there is also fantastic and really great to work with. I can not be happier with the work.

Fantastic staff..had the chance to work with Raleigh kind gentlemen.

Took my car here a year ago after an accident and my regular shop is still finding problems with the work they did, and parts they didn’t even replace and left cables dangling where pumps and motors should have gone. I got the runaround and had to come back several times for them to order the parts to fix their work. It’s not worth my time dealing with them anymore and I’m paying my shop out of pocket to fix their work.

Very professional and on top of things. Our truck needed extensive work and they kept us updated weekly until pick up.

Had a great experience with Moody's. Courteous people who helped make a car accident experience easier. My car looks fantastic and they went above and beyond. Thanks especially to James and Soozy!

They had my car for two weeks for a quote, I had multiple people call me asking exactly what they were doing. This garage is very unorganized. On top-of how long they took when I went to go pick my vehicle up it was dead in the parking lot and I had to jump it! also I took it to another garage and they told me there was way more wrong with it and showed me pictures of The underneath, not sure how they missed all that. I don't recommend taking your car to this place

My husband was in an accident last week. A driver rear ended him and tried to blame my husband. This was our first ever accident and we were really upset and nervous as we didn't know what to expect. We brought the car to Moody's and they were incredibly kind and helpful. They even called enterprise to set up a time to get a rental the next day. They were very thorough and made sure that we were okay as well. Unfortunately the car estimate to be fixed was more than the car was worth, so it was totaled. I loved our experience with them and can't thank them enough for helping us get through a scary situation.

I will admit it has taken some time to post this as I try to support local businesses and I’m not one for confrontation but the more I think about it, I need to share. In December of 2016 on my way home from work, another vehicle pulled out in front of me and I t-boned the vehicle causing a lot of damage to my Jeep Wrangler. Because the insurance company did not total my vehicle, I chose Moody’s in Gorham to do the repair/body work because I had always heard good about them. My experience was anything but good. Not only did they have my vehicle for over three months, when I finally was able to pick up my vehicle the elderly woman at front desk was extremely rude and nobody came out to go over my vehicle with me. The replacement bumper used was a faded black- not at all the same color as vehicle, replacement door now has the lock button falling out hanging by wires and when I got an oil change and tire rotation at a different business shortly thereafter, was told the tires were not aligned at all. I would never recommend anyone to bring there vehicle to that location. Thank you

This is a family-owned business and it shows, in the best sense of the word. From beginning to end, I had an outstandingly positive experience with what is usually a total drag--auto body repair. I believe a snow plow must have backed into the front of my car while it was in a parking lot. There was snow all over and it happened when I wasn't in the car. My insurance co. covered the damage and set things up with Moody's. Their Gorham facility was pretty new at the time (about 5 yr. ago). The front office/waiting area looked more like an outpatient clinic than a repair garage--but friendlier and more casual. I arrived in rather rough shape and inquired about the possibility of a cup of coffee. They quickly accommodated me, extending genuine warmth. The complication in my case was that I had to leave from Moody's with a rental car en route to Logan for a planned trip to Calif. Presumably the work would be done by the time I returned, but I wouldn't be there to inspect the progress or quality of the work . Moody's kept me updated and apprised of the work as it progressed, giving me assurances that all would be well when I returned, which would be after business hours, well after dark. Following the flight from the West Coast and drive from Boston, I had to shovel 16" of snow to gain access to my house. I then picked up the cat at the cat B&B, drove to Moody's where I exchanged the rental care for my own car and drove home. I couldn't fully inspect the car til the next day, but imagine my relief after all this, to see what a great job Moody's had done. The smushed front end was perfectly restored. My beloved Honda was itself again. Little did I know that in only a few mos. I would be spending 5 days at the Moody Collision Center! The 2010 U.S. Census chose this site for their one-week training program of census workers. Sounds bizarre, right? Actually, it was perfect. What a surprise that the second floor contained a small conference room and a good-sized conference area with a small stage and complete kitchen. There were interesting and attractive murals on the walls of the conference area/ auditorium depicting the company's history in the Portland area. Everywhere this facility displayed pride of place and a personal investment in the business. I wandered around astonished and the very tasteful, higher-end furnishings and fittings, the use of wood instead of plastic. They could have all been done at half the price but you could see the commitment to quality and aesthetics. In the week I spent coming and going there, I chatted more with the staff and got more of a sense about the connection of the employees to the business and to each other. These folks appear to be happy workers and no one can argue with the difference this makes in a business. We can only lament how rarely this now happens. Just ask to look in the repair area and you'll be stunned: it's immaculate, more like a lab than a repair garage. Appearance aside, the bottom line is the quality of work they turn out and the friendly communication and concern they offer. I must say the coordination of my insurance company and Moody's was seamless. There are many bogus and corrupted reviews on the Internet, both positive and negative. This is not one of them. I have no friends, family or associates at Moody's and they don't know I am writing this. I am using my real name and I stand behind this review. If you have the misfortune of needing automotive body work, take heart, because I doubt you can do better than Moody's, both in terms of restorative work and personal service. Addendum: I wrote this before I realized there are lot of photos posted, so you can see much of this for yourself, plus a lot of awards and such. I forgot about the "employee-owned" part--that says a lot about why they are the way they are. :)

Rented the event room for a baby shower today. It is a fantastic space at a reasonable cost... highly recommend it!
