    Service Dept review. Was given an "appointment" at 0845 for a Recall that would take 1-1.5 hrs. They knew I was a "waiter". I arrived at 0835 and was told by the service consultant that yes the job takes an hour but it would be 1-2 hours before they can't get to it. What good is an appt? Being in outside sales with set appointments I couldn't wait 3 hours. Maybe they just don't want to do the free "Factory Recall" jobs? I hope the rear door doesn't open while my granddaughter is in the car!

    Had an excellent experience with Modern Nissan! Eddie Hernandez works wonders with trade in and negative equity and Joe Pierce is a wonderful agent! He got to know me and was helpful with my mother and my 6 year old daughter that were with me! He is a joy to know and I highly recommend him!

    I went in for a recall and they came back out with $748 worth of maintenance I need to get done on my car (without actually looking to see if it was done already). They suggested new rear brakes (I had replaced those a month prior) and they completely missed a giant oil leak that was almost unavoidable if they actually looked under my car. When I told the manager and the employee, they seemed shocked that it was missed, and said it would be $150 to fix. The part that needed replacing was $10.12, and it took me 5 minutes to do. Not $140 worth of labor....I now drive my car out of town to another Nissan Dealership. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention. I had an appointment for 11am. Got there at 10:45 to check in. My car wasn't pulled back to the shop until 11:45am. I asked if I could get a rental car because I needed to run some errands before work and the recall was supposed to take 2 hours. She said they only offered rentals to maintenance that would last longer than 3 hours. Note that I had already been sitting in the lobby for an hour....plus the 2 hours for the recall....it easily hit 3 hours. Do I bite the bullet and walk to get some lunch, told that I would receive a phone call when my car was done. Fast-forward to 3:15pm. I ended up watching Netflix in the restaurant and losing track of time. I check my notifications, nothing. I hurry back to the dealership thinking they've been waiting for me, and my car is STILL IN THE SHOP. appointment at 11, didn't come out until 3:45, 45 minutes before I had to be at work, with obviously no time to do any of my errands, or go let my poor dog out to use the restroom. So almost 5 hours it took them to do a "2 hour job," followed by getting told the importance of the $748 list they handed me, proving they just want money and don't actually look at your vehicle before recommending service and repairs. Overall It was a horrible experience. I even received an email from them later that day asking how my experience was. I gave them a bad review them and explained why I had a bad experience, and I was assured someone from Nissan would contact me, but they never did. So don't expect them to even follow up with your concerns, or listen to you at all.

    🛑🛑🛑🛑 I would not recommend this place. What a awful experience trying to buy a new car here… Erick sales manager trying to low ball my trade in and also trying to sell a “new” car with 900 miles… save you a trip and go somewhere else! 🛑🛑🛑🛑

    I waited 2 hours for an oil change in the morning and that was with an appointment. That was also after I had an appointment a couple of days before that I left because it was going to be at least 2 and a half hours. I couldn't wait that long that day.

    Although I bought a vehicle at the Modern Nissan in Lake Norman, I live closer to the Winston dealer so I tried to contact them about a problem with my vehicle that might be covered under warranty (after first getting the okay from the Lake Norman folks). First call to the Modern Winston dealer service dept went unanswered for several minutes. Just kept ringing. Called again, receptionist patches me through, but same problem. Called a third time and told the receptionist I was trying to reach service again. She patched me through to a specific person and it went to voicemail. Since I wanted a minute with someone to explain my situation and was short on time (work full time), I just called back. Receptionist tried another person and patched me through, but voicemail again. I called back and explained my situation, and she put me on hold so she could talk to the warranty person. After all that, they wouldn't look at my vehicle to consider if the problem was under warranty, they just gave me the standard issue reply that it's not covered. I'm going back to Lake Norman since (1) at least they are willing to look at the vehicle to determine if it's something they could consider covering, and (2) I'll even say more importantly, they at least answered the phone. I'm glad I didn't buy the car in Winston Salem if this is how difficult it is to even reach the service department.

    My experience was great I had a brand new transmission replacement in my 2015 nissan altima it took the mechanics literally a day to finish my car and the representative that helped me was a man name Jason he was very very helpful his customer service was excellent he communicated with me before and after the vehicle was finished and even called me to follow up on how the vehicle was doing I will definitely be coming back to modern nissan in the future thank you so much

    Veneer of good service with several under the surface problems. Time estimates are often way off, both when waiting in the lobby or when told the length of time for drop off. My last visit I went in for a state inspection along with regular service upkeep. Not only was my inspection not completed, but the excuse was the computer was down and no one informed me of this at any time until I went to check out. As part of phone conversation, I was informed my wiper blades were bad, and assuming I needed these to pass inspection, I approved their replacement and once I found out that didn't occur it made me feel jilted for something I never would have paid so much money for otherwise (I could literally have stopped at an auto parts store and saved over sixty dollars). This visit was particularly frustrating, but the consistent problems, and feelings of being ripped off, have led me to conclude that there's no reason to continue using modern Nissan for any services. They have a great coffee machine in the lobby, and free snacks. That's good I guess.
