    OUTSTANDING! Started the whole process on May 4th with an agreed upon closing of May 30th. The seller was not very responsive in the beginning but Chance kept chugging along and making sure I was in the loop about everything. Derick has an incredible team at Midwest Bankers and it shows. If I had a question, they were super fast to respond. They made home buying a breeze. I would recommend them to everyone. You will be in good hands with Midwest Bankers. Tell them I sent you! **UPDATE** We just purchased our second house using Midwest Bankers. The care and the communication they give is truly second to none. I am so appreciative for the hard work they put into getting you the best rates and best possible outcome. I will continue to use Midwest Bankers for life because they are amazing people.

    If I could give no stars I would. This review is for Derick Huntwork specifically. Me & my husband were referred to him by a realtor who told us they trusted him. We called him Saturday 8/21/2021 when we informed him, as well as the realtor who referred us, that we were first time buyers and wanted to know the process we needed to take. He informed us that if we got our application in right then, he could have everything done and have an answer for us by 7:30pm that night. We did just that and then never heard from him again the entire week until I called the realtor to tell them we were upset we'd heard nothing back in almost a full weeks time. I called multiple times and was never able to get him on the phone to get the details of where we were in the process. It's only after I told the realtor that I was thinking about leaving reviews about this experience did Derick actually call us back. Imagine our surprise to realize he only called us to argue with & constantly speak over me about how he didn't believe our level of frustration was warranted. He didn't call because he wanted to remedy the situation. It was obvious he called us in an attempt to get us not to leave a review. He continuously tried to pacify me by saying he wasn't aware of the urgency, yet we told him and the realtor both we were only looking at a certain house. We gave this man our personal information and instead of reassuring us that he would keep that information save and help us if he could, he absolutely threw us to the side. If he was unable to complete the job by the time and date he specified then he should have said so, instead of telling us something only to never follow through or even follow up. His lack of communication with us was absolutely unprofessional & left a really bad taste in our mouths as first time house buyers. I would not recommend this man to ANYONE. I did attempt to contact a supervisor for him, only to find out he is the owner. Very disappointing. I would not recommend this business knowing this man owns and runs it.

    Ms. Bivona, We do apologize that your journey to becoming a first-time homebuyer is not going as planned. We do try to make ourselves available outside business hours and try to turn around pre-approvals in a quick manner, usually in under 24 hours. Some pre-approvals, do take a little longer than initially expected. Our records do not show any calls or texts to Midwest Bankers or Derick Huntwork beyond the Saturday Evening conversation on 8/28 at 430pm. In further researching this matter, it looks like you had reached out to the agent for financing updates. On our end we were told that the house you were interested in was unavailable, and that there was no longer a rush needed for pre-approval. Then within 48 hours from that initial update, we were told you folks had chosen to go a different route than buying. We do apologize for your poor experience and agree that we could have communicated better and should have went directly to you to confirm change in plans. Going forward, we will do better to tighten up our communications process with clients outside normal business hours. In conducting an internal review of our processes, I do believe we need to make sure to do better about overcommunicating and under promising when it becomes apparent that a pre-approval is going to take a little longer than initially discussed upfront. When folks are busy doing outside work activities it’s apparent that it can cause communication issues and that is going to be an ongoing work in progress.
