20 STARS!!!! I took out a loan on a motorcycle with midtown. These guys worked with me at every single turn. I was late on payment and they never sold the bike, in all likelihood if I had pawned the bike with any other Pawn Shop I would not have got it back. On top of working with me literally on everything they even cleaned the bike up for me before I came back to pick it up. Great business and excellent customer service.

The group of people that run this store do an excellent job. It's tucked just off of 13th street, on a road that can get super busy, but there's plenty of parking on the side of the building opposite of Starbucks. Every time I've come inside, they've been nothing but respectful, knowledgeable, nice and understanding -- especially to repeat customers. I'm no stranger to customer service, and they do a superb job They're thorough, speak highly of their customers, and take good care of the items they sell. In a pawn shop, these are very important qualities. Their store is a bit smaller, but they have a great selection as well. I definitely recommend.

Must read! This guy agreed to sell me some tools for less than the price on the store tag and after negotiating what I felt like was a really good price, I still turned out to be a few bucks short. I could tell the guy was wishful for me to have brought more money but he was still willing to sell the tools for someone in need. I was certainly happy but people say it's not a good deal unless both parties walk away happy. So, I offered a few tools of my own to make up for the few bucks and the guy just let me keep my own trades in case i might ever need them one day... 6 STARS!

The owner is widely known, well liked, and highly respected in the community. From what I've seen and experienced, he looks for any available possibility of buying and/or selling for not only the customer but the item as well. He genuinely wants to help fulfill the needs of anyone looking for some financial assistance, and will find a way if its within his grasp to do so! The shop had some really great things and will never disappoint.

First visit, thought just may find ONE ring i like. Holy smokes! Like about 20 of them, no kidding & 5+ just Love. Tom was very patient, helpful & kind as i tried several... gave me fair price for the two I chose. After his outstanding service & high quality rings, I couldn't be more pleased. Will DEFINITELY return for more great deals with most welcoming merchants who intuitively know when to offer help & when to allow you to browse. Fantastic shop!

I have been going to Midtown Pawn & Jewelry for many years. I have bought & sold things from them and Tom & Kristin are always very helpful and kind. They always give me a fair price for what I am selling, and the same when I'm buying. They treat customers with respect. I have never had to do a loan with them but I'm sure that is a easy process just like everything else they offer!! Very neat and clean pawn shop.. By far best in Gainesville, so check them out!!!!! I always go to Midtown, awesome and quality selection, great staff, all very helpful never trying to push a sale. Most pawn shops get a lot of criminals so they start treating everyone like a criminal. Midtown feels just like a small mom and pop shop for buying and selling used goods. Great place for Stereo and microphone gear!

Really clean & nice shop! The owner was exceptionally helpful & nice! He gave me great advice and was really fair in explaining prices & how pawning works. I'm definitely recommending Midtown Jewelry to my family & friends.

Went in this afternoon, about 35 mins before closing. I lost the diamond out of my original wedding ring and my husband offered to replace it if I could find one st a reasonable price. I was told by the woman at the counter that they had already put the jewelry away. I asked if she had diamond wedding sets that weren’t clustered and she simply stated she was not getting the stuff out to show me. Poor customer service

Great hospitable and fair shop owner! Opened store up early when I was standing outside waiting. Had great convo. Definitely recommend this pawn shop. Been 2 every pawn shop in Gainesville and prices here are by far the best!! SIX STARS!!
