I worked with “Ida”… omg she’s the bomb! So I’ opened a checking and savings account today. She was very nice, knowledgeable & even assisted with refinancing both my cars. Branch was busy and active which is a good thing to me. But wait times were not long. I look forward to building a bank relationship long term and I’ll be back to open my business account. Had a car loan with MidFlorida, at the end, after my final payment they sent me a letter saying I had overpaid and a refund was due to me. I expected a check in the mail. Instead I got a paper statement 3 months later with almost nothing left in a savings account I never new had been opened. When I asked about the refund I was told it was put into the saving account, but that it did not meet their minimum balance requirements so it had fees attached....which were taken out of the savings account each of the three intervening months resulting in my refund being almost nothing. I closed the account! I'll NEVER get a loan or open an account here again. Although some of the blame also has to go to the dealership where I bought the car because they also didn't mention the fact that in order to get the loan, a savings account would also be required. Update: After writing the above 1 star review, I was contacted by the bank. I was actually pleasantly surprised. They made things right, right away. They apologized for me not receiving previous statements which would have given me a better understanding of charges etc and explained everything. I must admit, I did not expect the bank to contact me. I hope they can find a way for the dealerships setting up these car loans to explain the details to customers/members. I should have mentioned in the first review that the ladies in the branch I visited were extremely nice and explained the reasons for the low value left in the account etc. I think I was more upset that I hadn't been informed about the charges or the "check in the mail" than anything else. I can honestly say, I won't say NEVER again! I look forward to my next car loan....when the price of vehicles come down a little...lol

I am a member of this credit union since this branch has opened here in Brandon. They have very good employees in the branch. Recently there is employee shortage and it takes longer time to accomplish anything in this branch.

I just had five different duplicate charges to my account. I went in to find out what was going on and dispute these charges. I have to wait 5-10 days and request a refund for a service charge I didn't cause. I'm very unhappy with how my account has been accessed and the lack of responsibility this bank is taking. I do not recommend you bank here. After this is resolved I will be banking somewhere else. ( After my contact with customer service ) They said I would not be reimbursed due to the glitch in the system that made this occur. I now Bank at Regions. Hope you don't chose this bank.

The MidFlorida Brandon branch took $100 from me to investigated if it was counterfeit. I asked the branch for the results of the investigation 2 weeks later and was told they don't know anything yet. Another 2 weeks later I asked the branch manager "nalini" for the results of the investigation and she was very rude and condeceding to me. She laught at me when I asked for the serial number of that bill so the person who gave it to me can ask their bank for an explanation. I asked her if her bank's insurance won't cover those incidents. She told me that Midflorida is not going to encourage me to bring counterfeit money. She infered that I knew it was counterfeit and I was trying to take advantage of MidFlorida. I have been with them for 12 years but I will close my account now.

Paid off my truck with a cashier check on 1/31/22, closed my account. They took out another $650 payment out from my checking account on 2/18/22. I called that day and they couldn't find my money. Now on 2/28/22 they somehow found their mistake and said it could be another two weeks to send me a check. Stay away from these thief's.

I don’t know what’s going on with Midflorida they used to have the best staff, fast and nice and they all knew your name. It used to be the best and now it’s awful. You wait in line forever and half the time they screw up. They all stand around talking.

First I’ve had MIDFLORIDA for years , this is by far the worst credit union from the staff to your acc , I am more than happy to be closing my account with them , 1. It always seem my money being taken from my acc unnoticeable and not returned back , they do not inform you on additional information , I deposited a check and was told it would be held for 6 days but wasn’t told why it’s been 2 weeks I had to call to get an answer because they never sent information and reported it fraud ! So now I have bills that need to be paid and have to wait longer for verification! I will close my account and never look back , the staff not informative and she was being rude !🤚🏽

Like most credit unions, their customer service is terrible. Ann Marie was not only rude and unhelpful, but refused to accept any responsibility for the fact that we’ve been getting our mortgage statements well past the due date. The only good thing about credit unions is the low interest rates. Other than that they’re worthless. Ann Marie needs a serious attitude adjustment, which I’m sure she’ll get once we write a letter to her corporate office.
