This one-star review is simply to reflect their app and their debit cards. Many people have complained about their card declining even when they have money in their accounts. It is very embarrassing, and I agree as I have been one of them many times. Then when you go to check your account through the app, it’s down most of the time. Usually I see a pattern between the two: when the app is down, your card is down. Must be a network issue, however it is the reason I will be changing my primary bank to First National. I cannot risk my card not operating properly when I’m away for college.
Maura, We are so sorry this is happening. We are currently going through an upgrade and have added new technology to ensure the experiences you mentioned do not happen again. Our brand new mobile app will be available within the next week when Apple and Google add them to their app stores (something we don't have control over). If you have a joint account here and one person dies apparently they just freeze the assets. Absolutely sinful that they would make families go through this. A call would have been great.

They approve my credit with ease that no other bank would and it 0 down even approved me one time this bank has earned my business and will continue to tall u have to do is call them and let them know and I have no issues in and out with a new car or toy within about an hour and a half

I have been a member for over 30 years. Since I do not live close to their offices, I have done many transactions over the phone or online. The staff has been very cooperative, cordial, and efficient. They have processed several loans for me with great ease. When I visit the office, I am greeted warmly and my business is taken care of promptly.

Tellers are rude and won't even look up when talking to you about a mistake on your account. Rude and unwilling to help. Manager Sandy refuses to call me back. All this because they chose NOT to make a phone call when my obviously dormant account had charges coming in. Instead they try to run it through 5 times and wipe my account leaving a - $100 balance. When I ask if there's anything they can do, they rudely say they can close my account and turn me into Telechek to ruin my credit (actual words). Having a supervisor call to apologize and say there is nothing you can do is not an answer. Refusing to call customers back is unacceptable.

Have been a member Over 20 years and many times had troubles with my check card not working. Last time I used it at Levine to purchase a sofa the card would not work tried 3 times. After being embarrassed I drove to the bank to get a cashier's check for my sofa. The tellers didn't know why my card didn't work once again and offered no apology and charged me the 1 dollar fee for the cashiers check. Also they took my phone number but no one ever called to explain why my card was not working.
We are so sorry this happened to you and sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you experienced. All debit cards have limits set to protect our members from possible huge dollar amounts of fraud occurring. Your purchase may have exceeded the limit. Our insurance bond coverage requires the credit union to set these limits based on risk factors that are pre-determined by the insurance company. This is done to protect your account. We will gladly refund you the amount you were charged for the counter check and we hope you are enjoying your new sofa.

I like this credit union, but one time the ladies at the drive through laughed at me because I'm short and I couldn't reach the sender. I'm not letting them live this down. I demand an apology from the branch.

Was financed here through a dealership but I live in Greenville and no online payment option for me unless I open a checking account. Should be an online option with a loan.
