Matt Gouge is extremely intelligent, patient and experienced mortgage professional. He is prompt in responding to all questions and puts your mind at ease during the entire process. Having done over two dozen mortgages I have never dealt with a mortgage broker as dishonest as Matt. Matt provided us with a quote and then after uploading all of our documents and pulling our credit the fees increased substantially. When we received our Pre Closing Docs we discovered that Matt had added our appraisal fee back into the final total after showing it being deducted earlier in the closing documents. We also discovered that his fees were even higher than he quoted us as he had included a $900 seller credit that we were not aware of in his calculations without disclosing to us. One of my favorite quotes from Matt "Appraisals are all smoke and mirrors, they don't really mean anything". Matt had agreed to pay for a second appraisal report but later reneged on his promise.

I wanted to get the best possible loan and Matt made the whole process effortless for me. He gave me breakouts of different loan scenarios and made recommendations about my best options. I never thought that the housing loan process can be this simple and straightforward. Matt is your go to guy if you know nothing about housing loans. He will hold your hand and walk you through the whole process. His in depth knowledge around little details of conventional and FHA loans can save you money and time. I prefer professionals who don't just get the work done but also educate me in the process and that's exactly what Matt did. I know much more about loans and investment properties now than I did before I met Matt. I'm a fan for life and won't go anywhere else if I need another loan.
