Mark is a great person; however communication was sorely lacking. It took me over 3 months to close on my refinance so I can add a level to my current home to meet the needs of my growing family. Often times I felt that my loan was put on the shelf for other loans and was even told by Mark himself that refinances take a back seat to new home loans. Keep in mind, my loan was the Fannie Mae home style renovation loan. Maybe that had something to do with it; however I was matched with him because he was an expert with this type of loan. Sometimes it took several days to hear back on several questions I had in reference to my loan and its status. I received a text from him saying that my interest rate dropped from 3.5% to 2.8%. Our conversation lasted for several minutes until he realized that he was talking to the wrong client. No 2.8% for me. All of my paperwork that was requested and required I submitted same day or the following morning every time it was asked of me. Often I would wait a week after submitted for an update on the status of the loan and then find out last minute from then that they were waiting on xyz. Keep in mind I was never informed about xyz. I signed several closing disclosures because they kept getting the numbers wrong. Examples were money I paid out of pocket, total loan amount, total borrowed money, etc. I believe I signed and resigned over 8 closing disclosures. When I finally closed, the money withdrawal process was slow. Communication between my loan originator and the bank branch that releases the money was slow. They often weren’t on the same page. In order to get things done I had to call and email a manager to get the ball rolling. All in all, Mark was very knowledgeable when it came down numbers and mortgages. However; punctuality and communication were lacking. I have to leave an honest comment. It didn’t go as smoothly for me as it has for others. Obviously it just wasn’t the right timing for me I guess.
