    I banked at Marine Credit Union for almost my entire life until recently. My card was compromised (which I get, it happens!) and the process of getting funds back was ridiculous. I felt like I got a different answer every time I called the support line to figure out how to go about solving the issue and getting my money back. In addition to this, Marine's hours are and always have been horrible if you work a first shift job, the drive thru lanes are always backed up, and the customer service is lackluster as a whole. It didn't always used to be this way, but in the past few years it's gone so far downhill. I switched to another credit union in La Crosse and it has been nothing but a wonderful experience since I walked through the doors to set up an account. If you're looking for a bank or credit union, I'd avoid Marine Credit Union at all costs and find something different.

    I completed an online application to refinance my vehicles with Marine Credit Union. The loan representative emailed me telling me that they can not give me a personal loan. I replied and told her that I am not applying for a personal loan, that we would like to re-finance our vehicles, which is clearly the loan that I had applied for online. She goes home sick and the next day she replies that she can not help us with our auto loans either because of our payment history and interest rate! We have never missed a payment and the interest rate is why we were trying to re-finance! Wow, what a great way to get people to want to bank with you by not even taking the time to read your loan application! We ended up re-financing through a different bank the same day!

    My experience over the years with Marine CU has been less than stellar. Their communication has left a lot to be desired through the car & home buying processes. They will not contact you about issues or mistakes that will end up costing you time and/or money but are reasonably helpful when you finally bring the issue to someone’s attention. I have paid off my car loan through them & look forward to refinancing my home through another bank and closing my account with MCU in the near future.

    We have a car with marine credit union the corporate office is very rude talked to ceo and he is someone that needs to work at some were who. Doesn't work with people along with is staff. I was told that once the seen the my employer check that I could use a shared credit union to cash them by that didn't happen and after talking to him and Carrie. They finally did cash the check but I was told to get somewhere else to cash my check!!!!! I would give the company a - 5 but for customer service, being told the truth and being lied to by someone as ceo and his staff.if your think of doing business with marine dont

    Our Recent Home Refinance was a wonderful experience !!! Becky Hynes definitely went the extra mile and then some for us.....She was very professional and always willing to do anything to help us out whether it was answering questions and concerns or even working late , or weekends to get things done....She definitely restored our faith in Customer Service and should be commended on her dedication to her Customers and job.....Its very rare in today's day and age to find someone that is this genuine and dedicated to helping people.... If anyone is interested in getting a loan from a top notch Person / Loan Officer that Cares about Customers and helping people then Definitely ask For Becky !!!

    This institution has the ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. They put a hold on My credit card because I made a LEGITIMATE purchase on at Macy's. Then don't bother to contact me and I Finally try to contact them to determine Why. I am put on hold for a total of 52 minutes 3 different times BECAUSE NOBODY will answer their phone but instead are put on a loop that apparently nobody monitors and then they finally hang up on you without tallying to a single person. I am going to be looking for a different bank that actually can talk to customers. And they can continue to automate themselves out of business Spend a week trying to use my card to No avail.

    So many issues with their debit cards. If you have to call you wait for ever to talk to someone. Lobby closed is making everything even more inconvenient. Only 2 people working drive through with at least 6 cars waiting... Doesn't help that moka next door... Their traffic blocks the banks drive through.

    They don't give loans to people that have child support payments. The process with the loan officer was great. They were friendly and professional, but that really should be something that should be addressed beforehand. They looked at all of our credit history, but didn't mention it. It was a let down and a waste of time. This was never a problem in the past with other banks, but according to the loan officer it is their policy. So much for "your more then just your credit score"

    Most 1 star reviews of this Credit Union are due to their own lack of financial stability. Their loan process was stress free and simple. I’d refer this credit union for anyone looking for a quick easy mortgage or personal loan.

    Terrible hours that lack flexibility with my schedule. The service was sub par and generally is staffed by many young and inexperienced workers who are either in high school or college. I will never ever step foot in the building again due to my terrible experience with them and their awful customer service, and lack of making me feel welcome to my bank. Additionally, when closing my account, I didn't need to provide any verification of my identity and was able to close my account with a simple signature. If that doesn't tell you something about how awful this place is, I don't know what would.
