Signed up, simple, quick and to the point. I don't understand all these negative reviews, y'all must not pay very close attention to your stash. It's up to you to know what's going on with your money. These people who work there are just hired in, it's not like it's their life goal to do all your bank management for you PERSONALLY. However with that said, it's is their job to not rob people of credit a score. I've never heard of this credit union before last week, so all the negative seems to be KARENS with nothing better to do. Don't be a Karen and professional establishments may be more friendly Karen.

Absolutely the worst CU I have ever dealt with. Our debit card doesn't work now an online banking is a joke. Customer service in non existent. We have stayed through all the mergers from WVFCU. This place just doesn't care. Will be closing our account ASAP.

I have been a member since 1998, Went from the great WVFCU to the not so great Lower Valley Credit union. We stayed with them for an RV loan and it has been ok. But now it's Self Help Federal Credit Union and it's time to move on. One customer service call is all it took for us to look for something new!

I have been a customer of WVFCU since the 1980's. I loved my old bank. I kept them no matter where I moved in the state. Since the merger I have had nothing but problems and difficulties. During the merger I was out of town at training and had my account frozen and my cards cancelled, despite the fact I drove an hour to Wenatchee prior to the travel to get it all arranged and make sure this did not happen. Since that time I have had difficulty with customer service--I always get sent to the call center which just transfers me and I don't get any service. I hate that they are not open on Sat, don't have a drive thru nor night drop. I was instructed to go to the Pasco location, only to find out it is for 'employees only' and not really a branch. They can't take my money, assist me or anything. It is time to find a new bank-after over 30 years with this one. The merger is a disaster.

Wish I could give less than 1 star! Charged me dormant account fees that put me into a negative account balance. Then charged me insufficient funds fees on those dormant account fees. Really glad I looked into it more, because the the woman who helped me said " most banks would just close the account, but were a credit union, so we dont do that" i had to pay them in order to close my account. When would it have ended?

The ATMs are rarely working properly to accept deposits. I dislike that they are not open on Saturdays anymore. The online banking is good except that it asks me my security question every time even on the same device and the box checked to recognize device. The employees are friendly at least.

Lower doesn't begin to describe the service, please just read it for a good laugh. I tried to keep positive during the transition but at some point it has to stop and they must be held accountable. My daughter transitioned from a standard account to a debit card, over a month later she still hasn't received her card. During the transition my wife and I have a joint account that she was and remains locked out of. An online order was flagged as suspicious (acceptable). However when the security center called to confirm the order the robo call doesn't even use the credit unions name it uses the default "financial institution" and sounds more like a scam than the suspicious order. Our old cards from the credit union expire at the end of this month but we haven't received new ones so most online orders won't accept them. Staff at the local branch are very nice and try but seem to be lacking the tools to be successful. So.... update, the reason the charges were denied is because the purchases were foreign (ebay electronics) a fair thing to flag. I called and authorized the purchases and they were denied again. It was followed up with another call from my "financial institution". Like our daughters issue, April marked the expiration of our cards. Today April 30th our cards were deactivated and no, we do not have new cards in hand. I contacted the branch and had them check the status of our new cards. Apparently the system failed to flag them as expiring since they were Wenatchee Valley Cards. They assured me that they would get the order in and I could expect my new cards to arrive withing 7 to 10 business days. I told them that this was unacceptable as I use my Debit card for bill pay as well as day to day use. Their response was "I'm sorry." The next day I took time off of work to open an account at Glacier Bank down the road. The same day they issued me a debit card to allow me to continue banking. May 17th still no cards contacted the branch, again met with, "I'm sorry." We will get those to you 7 to 10 business days. Apparently they requested Wenatchee Valley Debit cards and that is no longer in business. May 23rd no cards, requested to talk to the bank manager. However they were not able to complete the call. May 24th Called and requested the bank manager. Again responded how sorry he was and assured me that this time I would really get my cards. I asked if they could compensate me for my time off tracking these issues down as well as time off to open a different account to allow me access to my paychecks. Absolutely not, there is nothing I can do except say I am sorry. June 4th I have received my debit card! My wife has not received hers, its a joint account. This account is remaining open for the simple fact that I don't like having my name associated with a bad business. I will do my part to try and affect a positive change Continuing on

If I could give negative stars I would. Customer service is horrible now, the manager is not friendly at all. The atm is messed up and the online banking is horrible. I've been a member for over 10 years and this new ownership is horrible. I reccomend changing banks if it was me. Also I've tried calling 5 times around 4pm and it says closed everytime! I am changing banks this week. I gave it a chance ever since they merged over a month ago. Nothing has changed. I'm done trying with this bank.

    Response from the owner

Hi Carley, I am sorry that you have had a bad experience since the merger. We would hate to lose you as a member over this. Is there anything that I can help you with? Please let me know if you would like us to reach out to you. Thank you

By far the worst customer service I’ve encountered in a long time, both in person and on the phone. Tellers are unfriendly, incompetent and unwilling to put forth effort. My presence was made to feel like a burden or imposition upon the person “helping” me. This bank merger was a HUGE mistake. The new management and staff lack the integrity of an institution worthy of my investments. We will be leaving this travesty of a credit union ASAP!

Ever since the transition from Wenatchee Valley to Lower Valley everything has gone down hill. I ordered checks in December and after 4 months of waiting, I finally went in to find out was taking so long and the teller never put the order in but took the money out of my account. I can’t even call the Wenatchee branch, I have to go through the Yakima location AND to top it off, I lost my debit card and when I called to report it they lady on the phone told me I had to notify my bank that I lost it and because it was a Saturday I know have to wait until Monday to even request a new debit card. The service they provide it worse than horrible and is a complete joke. Definitely switching banks and I don’t recommend this credit union to anyone.
