Edit: After contacting Nick Hague, our local rep who originally helped us through the sale process, and promised us a call back either Monday or Tuesday of this week, we have still yet to hear from anyone at Loan Depot. Communication does not exist within this company. There is a complete lack of professionalism not only from the local office, but the corporate, live chat, and tech support. If you are considering this company because it all sounds to good to be true, listen to your gut and go with someone else.

Paul from Loan Depot was referred to me from our realtor Tom Hutchinson, when I started looking for a home to purchase in late September 2021. . Being a former loan originator myself I was very impressed with Paul’s knowledge of all mortgage programs and his ability to choose which ones would be the best fit for my particular situation. Ron Byrom and the LoanDepot team were extremely efficient, extremely responsive, extremely knowledgeable and very attentive to our personal needs and preferences. Our loan was structured exactly the way we needed it to be to maximize our preferences and minimize cost. I cannot say enough good things about Ron and his team, and I do not consider myself to be an easy customer to please. He answered all of my questions, and there were many. He was patient and did not make us feel rushed. A+ service.

I would encourage any one looking to buy a home to call Nick and the team at Loan Depot. The care and concern that our team took with us was exemplary. I believe that communication is key and king. Our team talked us through each step of the process. We were blessed.

I initially went with Loan Depot because of the reputation of one of their Mortgage Brokers with FHA 203K Renovation Loans. BIG MISTAKE!!!! The processors were sloppy. Sending documents that contradicted other documents, often having to re-do documents 3 and 4 times due to errors and even having to re-do the closing documents because they couldn't get that right either. The contracted my renovation contractors, giving them instructions to modify my contracts with them to add items not required by the terms of the loan, like a follow-up WDO. The terms of the loan DO require the appraiser to perform a follow-up appraisal after the work is completed, but do not require any other follow-up. A day before closing required by the contract and they gave me a closing date 2 weeks out and lied, claiming the closing was always set for the date 2 weeks away. They hemmed and hawed when I asked her to pull out their copy of the contract and read the date to me. Seems there was a legitimate reason for the delay, but their default is to tell the customer anything the that doesn't put them at fault to shut the customer up. Fast forward to two months after closing when I received a supplemental invoice for my home and flood insurance. It was $400 higher than what was on the binder. The reason: the closing staff at the lender had called my insurance broker asking for an invoice in that specific amount. No additional coverage, just an increase in premium. Odd, to say the least, but the broker did it. Unfortunately, Loan Depot only paid them the original amount and now I'm stuck paying more for no additional coverage. Fast forward to today. I get an email message that says they have been trying to reach me by phone regarding my account. Strange that no calls from them show on my cell phone incoming call list, but hey, not surprising as they haven't been known for their honesty in my dealings with them so far. I call them and they inform me I haven't made my mortgage payment this month. My bank shows that the funds were debited from my checking account on 10/1/2020 and the payment was ACH transferred to them on 10/2/2020. A quick call to my bank shows Loan Depot ACH transferred the payment BACK to my bank with the comment "R24-Credit Transaction Refused". A call back to Loan Depot and they say they have no record of that happening and that they would never return a payment unless there were insufficient funds in my checking account. I guess Loan Depot doesn't educate their staff about ACH transfers and that the money was deposited into THEIR account as part of the transfer, so THEY HAD THE FUNDS, which they then returned via the same ACH transfer process. So, these bozos had the payment, returned it, but I need to add late fees to my mortgage payment now. If I want them removed, I need to send evidence that the payment t was made on time and that they retuned it. They are certainly NOT CUSTOMER FRIENDLY!! They are absolutely NOT CUSTOMER SERVICE ORIENTED! My recommendation, based on my experience with them....RUN AS FST S YOU CAN TO A LOCAL BANK WITH LOCAL REPRESENTATIVES!!!!

This company has dropped the ball on our loan we had started this loan back over a mouth ago and right now we are homeless staying in a hotel after there appraiser went to the wrong country and now we're stuck. Waiting not share when we'll be closing with them this the worse experience ever with a company everything is at a stand still while they figure on the next move
