I love this branch. My previous bank made a lot of mistakes, not this one! And they go out of their way to be super helpful and friendly, even though I'm not a big customer.

    Response from the owner

Hi K! Thank you for the 5-star review. Have a wonderful weekend. ^SH

Michelle is the best, and she is the only reason I continue banking with Key. I will not take down the info from my previous one star post about key bank branch managers and corporate. The following info is from my previous review about Key Bank. By the way, their corporate office did not resolve any issues, but Michelle is nice enough that I come back. If you are reading this, give another 1 star review. The tellers were very nice but the manager with the man bun was extremely rude and unprofessional. He came off very angry and judge-mental. I agree with all of the other terrible reviews. He basically told me that it was up to his discretion to release a hold on my money but he would not do it. He was pretty much like..I could if I wanted to but I won’t. He was not even professional in the slightest about it. He tried to create tension. I asked to meet with him in private, instead he yelled to me from across the bank in front of customers. I was super chill about it, not looking for an argument, he clearly was. I’m asking their corporate office to watch the footage. It seemed like the man bun manager strongly dislikes his job or his life and just doesn’t like people in general. I am checking out other banks tomorrow as well as other possible ways to give Key Bank the poor reputation it deserves.

Terrible customer service. Very judgemental with no sense of "help". I would avoid this bank if youre not a clean cut white person Edit: to your response. These responses are for show. If you care about your customers treat them like real humans not like everyone walking around is a fraud case. This bank should be closed for discrimination.

    Response from the owner

Good morning - That is definitely not how we want you to feel while banking with us. Please send an email to [email protected] with more information. We will be happy to have this looked into for you. Thanks. ^JF

Although the rep at this bank was nice and did the job to the best of his ability, at the end of the day, Key Bank and its products are to be avoided at all costs. I opened a 0% interest credit card with them and have had nothing but problems. The bank's automated payment system is broken and will not allow me to make payments to the balance from my checking account, so i have to go into the bank every month to manually make payments. After several hours on the phone with them, broken phone trees, calls disconnected with no attempt to call me back, supervisors spoken to, they say there is nothing that can be done to fix this. To add insult to injury, this card has this awesome feature where you can place a charge on the card, the transaction will post so that you will owe the money, but they will place a lock on your card WITHOUT NOTIFYING YOU because they suspected that it was fraudulent activity. Meaning yet another unnecessary reason to spend time on the phone with Key Bank. I don't care what the rates are, how good the terms may look, under no circumstances will it be worth it to do business with this joke of a bank. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

    Response from the owner

DONT WANT TO GIVE ONE STAR STAY AWAY FROM THIS KEY BANK BRANCH I decided I was going to pursue a loan from local banks for my business. The first bank i decided to go to was Key Bank, located at 200 Broadway, the Branch Manager, Rachel, invited me into her office to discuss my needs. During the conversation about the loan and about my personal credit history, i disclosed to her my current credit score but also informed her that it was currently on the rise. After discussing the banks requirements for a loan, I decided to apply despite the fact that my score didn't satisfy the banks requirements since there is always a chance for it to be approved with there being other factors involved. So, the Rachel was asking questions as she is typing to submit application. She finishes, reviews everything with me and then said it was submitted and should hear about it Monday and she will be in touch. Monday comes, no call from her, place a call to her, leave a message. Same thing happens on Tuesday. The following week, still no word from her. Another call is made. No reply. A few days later, you stop into branch and were told she is on the phone and cant speak with you. With my knowledge of credit, I know that a loan application will enduce a hard inquiry on my credit report. Since you check your report weekly, i noticed that a hard inquiry hasnt shown up. The thought of the application being held back has now entered my mind. Now, I am even more curious and another call is made into the bank. Still no response. lt started to bother and create unnecessary and unwelcomed frustration. I decide to call customer service and inquire. Its about a month since u stopped into bank to see her. The customer service associate transfers you to her line. Rachel answers the phone. You ask her why she hasnt called. She says, "i tried calling you a few times but it kept on ringing without going to voicemail " (100% provable lie) You know right away that she is lying. Then I asked Rachel the status. Rachel said,” it was declined due to "lack of credit history." (LIE NUMBER 2) You then have her in another lie as your credit history is in bad shape and absolutely not considered to be a lack of. You call customer service the following day twice to finally find out that there isnt ANY application on file with the bank and all your personal information is out dated from many years prior. Dishonesty, unethical, immoral and other characteristics were exposed so you file a complaint with the bank and contemplate further action. THIS IS BASED ON TRUE EVENTS AND HAS BÈEN VERIFIED/CONFIRMED WITH A SUPERVISOR IN CUSTOMER SERVICE JOHNATHAN, THE DISTRICT MANAGER OF THIS BRANCH HAS BEEN NOTIFIED OF MY OFFICIAL COMPLAINT AND HAS NOT HAD THE COMMON COURTESY TO GIVE ME A CALL. GOES TO SHOW HOW NEIGHBORLY KEY BANK ACTUALLY IS IT WAS RACHEL'S JOB TO SUBMIT MY APPLICATION SHE HAS DISCRIMINATED AGAINST ME BASED ON HER KNOWLEDGE OF MY CREDIT SCORE SHE HAS COMMITTED FRAUD UPON ME RACHEL BREACHED HER LEGAL DUTY OF CARE HER ACTIONS AND BEHAVIOR HAVE HARMED ME AND IS A HARM TO THIS NEIGHBORHOOD AND SOCIETY RACHEL'S NEGLIGENCE HAS CAUSED UNWANTED HARM AGAINST ME UNFAIR UNEQUAL TREATMENT TO DEPRIVE ME OF AN OPPORTUNITY TO RETAIN A LOAN WRONGFUL MISCONDUCT/IMPROPER BEHAVIOR I TRULY BELIEVE RACHEL USED HER KNOWLEDGE OF MY CREDIT SCORE FOR HER OWN BENEFIT SINCE THERE IS HIGH SALES PRESSURE IN BANKS AND DIDN'T WANT A REJECTED APPLICATION ON HER STATS THIS SAME REVIEW WILL BE ON YELP AND I WILL BE CALLING THE OCC, BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU AND THE ATTORNEY GENERAL IN REGARD TO THIS MATTER ***CK*** WITH ALL DUE RESPECT THIS HAPPENED ON OCTOBER 12 HAD TO. SUBMIT 2 COMPLAINTS TO ACHIEVE ONE ACTUAL FORMAL COMPLAINT ALL THE INFO IS WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE, JACOB (SUPERVISOR) AND ACCORDING TO HIM THE HIGHER UPS WERE NOTIFIED IM DONE WITH TRYING TO REACH KEY BANK PERSONNEL IT'S TIME FOR KEY BANK TO DO ITS DUE DILIGENCE AND CALL ME WITH AN APPROPRIATE RESOLUTION I HAVE FILED WITH ATTORNEY GENERAL and STATE REGULATORS. NEXT IS OCC THEN COURT

This bank is a joke right the only reason I come here it's because it's closer to my house but horrible customer service maybe I want on bad day but still greet people when they walk in the door and make them feel comfortable and to talk to the teller. Literally I felt stupid asking questions and I shouldn't have felt like that I feel like this Bank needs better customer service just my opinion

    Response from the owner

Hello Shyla, I'm sorry for the poor experience you had at this branch. That certainly is not the type of service we strive for. I will be happy to forward these comments on and I hope you have a great weekend. ^ JK

I would give them zero stars if I could. Visited this branch to close my HSA after I discovered that Key Bank had charged almost $45 in fees since I left my former employer and customer service told me that they were the only ones who could potentially help me get the money back. They did not. The only 'fee' they could help with, was the "early account closure fee," which why is that even a thing?!? The whole point of having an HSA is to help with medical bills and they've just robbed me blind. The lady I spoke with told me that I should have "come in when I first noticed it," which was yesterday. So I did. She also had the audacity to tell me that I should consider them for future banking needs, which I will not. Not in the habit of doing business with people who steal from me, so instead, I'll just tell everyone I know to NEVER EVER bank with this company.

    Response from the owner

Hi Marissa: I understand any time a fee is charged it is upsetting. I'm sorry to hear you left us because of this. If there is anything we can help you with, please let us know. You can send an email to [email protected] including your contact info and we'll be in touch. ^KeyBank Customer Care

Clueless employees. Do not bank here. Always a struggle. It’s fine if you want to deposit $20. But anything more like wire transfers, printouts, changing anything good luck. Employees have no clue and there is high turnover.

    Response from the owner

Hi John - We definitely don't want you to feel that way banking with us. Can you email us more details on your experience at [email protected]? We will be happy to see what we can do to help. Thank you. ^JF

See a lot of bad reviews, but this branch is great. All the employees are friendly and have gone out of their way to help me any time I needed it. Ive been there dozens of times and I’ve never had less than a great experience. Very transparent when it comes to business as well.
